Irish alpaca knitwear brand, CAYO, launches at multi-brand boutique destination Square Bath

CAYO, the luxury Irish alpaca knitwear brand, has officially announced its expansion into the UK retail market with a launch at multi-brand boutique destination Square Bath. Located at 12 New Bond St, Bath, BA1 1BE the collection is located on the ground floor next to Isabel Marant, GANNI, rag & bone, Anine Bing and others. CAYO is also now available to shop online in the UK.

Designed in Ireland and knitted by expert craftspeople in Italy, CAYO garments are engineered for year-round versatility. Founded by Limerick designer Orla Daly, CAYO brings a fresh approach to the luxury knitwear sector with seasonless, heirloom-quality pieces. Unlike fast-fashion knits reliant on synthetic blends, CAYO uses zero synthetic plastic fibers, selecting 100% naturally derived, premium Peruvian alpaca wool custom-spun specifically for the brand.

CAYO was born from founder Orla Daly’s passion for slow fashion and self-expression, which began when her parents gifted her a sewing machine at age 15 and was further shaped by her participation in Junk Couture creating garments from 100% recycled materials. After discovering the unique thermal properties and sustainability of alpaca wool during a trip to South America, Daly set out to create a brand built on transparency and longevity. Alpaca farming requires significantly less land and water resources than cashmere goats or mohair rabbits, offering a gentler footprint on the planet.

Square Bath will stock a curated selection of CAYO’s classic collection alongside the brand’s newly released signature button up cardigan in all new colourways. Every CAYO garment features signature structural design choices and distinctive brand accents:

●  The Andean Jumper: A neater, structured silhouette featuring a classic relaxed round neck, tailored split hem and long fitted cuffs. Versatile enough to layer over dresses or pair with denim, it offers temperature-regulating comfort suitable for a cool summer evening or a chilly winter day. Available in Nordic Sky Blue, Sunset Pink. Andean Reimagined is available in: Chantilly Cream, Cream and Ink Blue and Cream and Tan Stripe.

●  The Classic Jumper: A relaxed-fit pullover designed for effortless everyday layering and soft, draped comfort. Available in Nordic Sky Blue, Deep Navy, Sunset Pink, Muted Animal Print and Tan.

●  The Zip Up Hoodie: A relaxed-fit, longer-line zip knit designed for effortless layering. Crafted in versatile shades like Chantilly Cream (accented with a subtle navy cuff stripe), True Tan, Ink Blue and Sunset Pink, it can be styled under a coat for winter or over dresses on cooler summer evenings.

●  The Button Up Cardigan: CAYO’s signature silhouette reimagined with fresh colour mixes and bespoke buttons. Features cloud-like softness and the signature coloured stripe on the right cuff. Available in Burnt Orange and Vibrant Green. The Button Up Cardigan Reimagined is available in Tan with Cream Lapel, Chantilly Cream, True Tan and Cream with Tan Lapel.

●  Hats & Scarves: Essential luxury cold weather accessories including The Wrap Around Scarf, an indulgent, oversized knit designed for versatile draped styling and The Peak Hat, crafted with generous depth and shape. Both accessory lines feature CAYO’s distinctive signature contrast stripe along the edge and hem. Hats available in Sunset Pink, Chantilly Cream and Tan. Scarves available in Cream and Tan.

●  Signature Detail: Every CAYO piece features the brand’s distinct signature detail: a contrast coloured stripe located on the right cuff of cardigans and jumpers (such as the subtle navy cuff stripe on the Sunset Pink Andean knit) and along the hem edge of hats and scarves.

Orla Daly, CAYO founder, says: “Expanding into the UK market through a premier retailer like Square Bath is such an exciting milestone for CAYO. We set out to create pieces that feel incredible to wear while honouring our commitment to ethical production. By using our custom-spun alpaca yarn, we can offer customers a luxury garment that delivers all the softness of cashmere or mohair, but with far greater durability and easier care. It really is an investment piece designed to be worn and loved season after season.”

The collection is available in-store at Square Bath and online at www.cayo-brand.com / @cayo_the_brand

Pricing ranges from £70-£400.
Square Bath is open Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Square Bath: 12 New Bond St, Bath BA1 1BE
