Kenco expands award-winning Millicano range with new Cadbury Caramel Latte

KencoKenco has expanded its Millicano range with the launch of a brand-new flavour, Kenco Millicano Cadbury Caramel Latte.

Building on the phenomenal success of the Kenco Millicano range, which launched in May 2024 and includes the award-winning Kenco Millicano Cadbury Mocha (2025 Product of The Year for coffee and a silver medallist in The Grocer New Product Awards 2024), the range has already generated £4.6M in value sales, making up over 10% of Kenco Specialty’s total sales. This new flavour presents a prime opportunity for retailers to capitalise on a new addition to a strong performing range.

The in-home frothy coffee category continues to grow year on year (+8% vs YA) – with shoppers looking to recreate a coffee shop experience at home. Kenco’s specialty range, which accounts for 27.4% of the frothy coffee category, caters to this and has seen value growth of 15.6% in the last year, driven mainly by the successful launch of the Kenco Millicano Tins.

Consumer trends point towards a shift in typical consumption occasions, with more and more people now drinking coffee outside of just a morning brew, particularly within the frothy coffee category, which over-indexes with afternoon and evening consumption. The new variants allow retailers to tap into more consumption occasions, driving further growth for the category.

Created with the number 1 chocolate brand in the UK, Kenco Millicano Cadbury Caramel Latte appeals to younger consumers who are more adventurous and like to try new products and flavours in coffee shops. Consumers continue to look for flavoured coffee, fuelling growth within the segment which now make up 39% of the speciality sector. With the indulgent Cadbury Caramel – a top trending flavour, retailers can tap into this trend by stocking two iconic brands within one product.

The innovative range gives consumers the option to personalise their at-home coffee experience by tailoring the drink strength to their mug size and taste preference to create a barista style coffee in an instant.

Maria Kabalyk, head of category & shopper, Jacobs Douwe Egberts Peet’s, UK&IE: “This launch builds on our strategy to deliver excitement and category firsts to in-home frothy coffees. Our new Cadbury Caramel Latte continues our successful partnership with Cadbury, to deliver a highly sought-after flavour in a customisable format, making it perfect for a moment of indulgence at any time of day.”

The Kenco Millicano Cadbury Caramel Latte (250g) is available in selected Morrisons stores now, and selected Asda stores from 6th September at an RRP of £5.75.

*Price is at the sole discretion of the retailers.
