Victoria Centre, the East Midlands’ number one retail destination, has announced a major upsizing of one of its brand partners, H Samuel. From 24th January, the national jeweller will more than triple its store size within the Victoria Centre.

The Victoria Centre location remains H Samuel’s only store in Nottingham, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the city and its retail community. The new location also introduces its latest concept, delivering a modern, experience-led environment designed to drive customer engagement and dwell time. The relocation forms part of a multi-million-pound store investment programme by parent company Signet Jewellers UK and Ireland.

The upgraded space allows the Nottingham store to stock significantly more products and is set to introduce several new watch brands, including Timex, Ingersoll, Garmin, Lorus, Michael Kors and Fossil.

The new and improved store introduces a range of new features, including ‘Perfect Piercing’, a dedicated ear-piercing studio, watch shop-in-shop displays, expanded gold wall concepts, a bespoke jewellery design and consultation area, modern digital screens and lighting and new customer seating areas. A dedicated display for natural and lab-grown diamonds further strengthens the offer.

Rebecca Milnes-James, asset manager at Pradera Lateral, commented: “We are delighted to support H Samuel’s significant investment at Victoria Centre. This relocation demonstrates the strength of the centre as a destination for national brands looking to upsize, modernise and invest for the long term. Enhancements like this play a key role in driving footfall, improving dwell time and strengthening the overall retail mix for our customers.”

Neil Old, managing director Signet Jewellers UK and Ireland, said: “This significant investment demonstrates our dedication to local high streets and shopping centres across the country. We believe that a vibrant retail sector is a vital part of a thriving community, and we hope our new Nottingham store will be warmly welcomed by local shoppers.”

Victoria Centre, owned by SGS UK Retail, is asset managed by Pradera Lateral. The leasing agents for this deal were JLL.
