Oatly becomes official oat drink partner for Black Sheep Coffee

Oatly, the world’s original and largest oat drink company, has entered a multi-year partnership with Black Sheep Coffee. The popular high street coffee chain has also adopted the larger 1.5L format of the UK’s #1 best-selling plant-based drink, Oatly Barista Edition.

The bigger 1.5L pack size is a first of its kind format for Oatly in the UK market, following demand from baristas and coffee shop owners for a larger volume solution. Providing the delicious taste and experience of Oatly Barista Edition, the 1.5L pack creates less waste and turnover for outlets dealing with large volumes of oat drink every day.

Oatly is now available at all 100 Black Sheep Coffee stores across the country, promising to elevate the drinks experience for the fast-growing coffee brand’s customers. Black Sheep Coffee has now launched several drinks on its menus with Oatly as the named default option for drinks that are especially complemented by its deliciously creamy taste and texture of Oatly Barista Edition. These include Blueberry and Strawberries & Cream Matcha drinks, as well as the Berry Protein Shake and Coffee & Banana Shake. Oatly will also be available across the menu as the dairy alternative of choice to complement everyone’s favourite coffees, teas and hot drinks.

The best oat drink for coffee experts1, Oatly’s Barista Edition, has been formulated to work perfectly in hot and cold drinks. And, as well as being dairy- and soy-free, Barista Edition benefits from the inherent goodness of fibrous oats and contains vitamins and minerals including calcium, riboflavin, vitamins B12 and D. It is low in salt and saturated fats, and best of all, has a consistently lower climate impact than comparable cow’s milk.

Bryan Carroll, general manager, Oatly UK & Ireland, said: “To achieve our mission to be wherever dairy is, we need to do more than just make best-in-class products. We also need to work with partners like Black Sheep to understand how best we can serve the needs of our customers. The 1.5L format was designed with professional baristas in mind.”

Black Sheep Coffee commented on the news: “Oatly’s exceptional taste and climate-friendly credentials align perfectly with our values here at Black Sheep Coffee, which is why we’ve chosen it as our oat drink of choice. As consumers increasingly opt for dairy alternatives, we’re delighted to have a larger format available that we can use in store.”
