Onitsuka Tiger opens global flagship store in Champs-Élysées, Paris and unveils first fragrances

Onitsuka TigerJapanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger continues to present a contemporary collection that combines fashion with sports, and heritage with innovation.

Onitsuka Tiger unveiled its global flagship store in Paris, France on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

Located on the prestigious Champs-Élysées, the two-story store is built around the Yellow Concept, featuring various items from Onitsuka Tiger’s runway collection, Japan-made denimwear DENIVITA™, and contemporary footwear.  Designed by the architectural firm STUDIODINICATALDI, the store merges Japanese heritage and Parisian sophistication, achieving a meticulously curated space.

The interior, highlighted in the brand’s signature Tiger Yellow harmonizes seamlessly with the historical elegance of private house, The Travellers Paris, originally commissioned in 1856.  Elements such as, raw concrete, illuminated surfaces, and vibrant yellow glass are incorporated to create a compelling architectural statement.  At the center of the space, a display structure encased in radiant yellow-tinted glass showcases the brand’s latest collection in an immersive way.

The store’s layout embraces a minimal yet dynamic approach, featuring geometric ceiling, softly diffused lighting, and an open-plan layout that enhance movement and interaction throughout the space.

In addition to retail area, the brand introduces Café Onitsuka Tiger on the ground floor of the store.  Specialty drinks with a Japanese twist and artisanal snacks infused with playful Parisian flair are available for takeaway.  The café reflects Onitsuka Tiger’s vision as a lifestyle brand by delivering a multi-sensory experience.

“The opening of our flagship store on the Champs-Élysées is a pivotal moment for our brand,” remarked Ryoji Shoda, head of Onitsuka Tiger, in reference to this new store’s launch. “Designing a retail space that harmonizes with the iconic streetscape of the Champs-Élysées while utilizing a historic building cherished by the local community is a significant challenge. As a cultural brand that bridges Japan and the world, our goal is to create a store and environment that honors the essence of the Champs-Élysées and coexists with the city’s rich culture”.

To commemorate the opening, a special edition of the ‘MEXICO 66TM NM’ shoe (NIPPON MADE™ collection) is available exclusively at the Paris Flagship store.  Alongside the Yellow Collection, the store also features a wide range of items — from heritage models, apparel, bags and accessories to the NIPPON MADE collection.

As part of the celebration, an immersive dinner party was held featuring Michelin-starred chef Ryuji Teshima, a globally renowned talent based in Paris. Guests enjoyed a specially curated menu inspired by the newly launched ONITSUKA TIGER EAU DE PARFUM.
