Philip Morris Switzerland, the Swiss affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), has partnered with LEAFIO AI to enhance its visual merchandising through the implementation of the LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency solution. This collaboration aims to optimize planogram creation, ensuring improved product placement efficiency and a seamless shopping experience for retailers and consumers alike.

Addressing CPG industry challenges in visual merchandising

In the highly competitive CPG sector, effective visual merchandising is critical to brand presence and sales performance. Manufacturers face challenges such as:
● Ensuring consistent product visibility across multiple retail environments
● Adapting to changing consumer behaviors and store formats
● Aligning planograms with sales data and inventory levels
● Reducing manual workload while maintaining compliance with retailer-specific requirements

Philip Morris Switzerland recognizes the need for automation to overcome these challenges, leading to its decision to integrate LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency into its merchandising operations.

Goals of the collaboration

By implementing LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency, Philip Morris Switzerland aims to:
● Streamline planogram creation and optimization to enhance product placement
strategies
● Automate and standardize visual merchandising for improved consistency across
retail locations
● Leverage data-driven insights to ensure data-backed decisions that maximize shelf
performance
● Enhance collaboration between manufacturers and retail partners by aligning
planograms with sales and demand trends

Why this partnership matters

This collaboration comes at a time when the retail landscape is evolving rapidly, driven by digital transformation and changing consumer expectations. By leveraging visual merchandising
automation, Philip Morris Switzerland is staying ahead of industry trends and reinforcing its commitment to innovation.

“At LEAFIO AI, we are committed to empowering CPG manufacturers with cutting-edge technology,” said Andrew Max, CCO of LEAFIO AI. “Our advanced data-driven solutions
improve shelf layouts based on deep analytics and worldwide experience; it will support Philip Morris Switzerland’s diverse retail footprint, and enhance operational efficiency by
reducing manual efforts and enabling quicker decision-making.”

Next steps: implementation process

The integration of LEAFIO Shelf Efficiency will follow a structured rollout, including:
1. Initial assessment of existing merchandising strategies
2. Customization and configuration of the planogram solution
3. Training and adoption for Philip Morris Switzerland’s merchandising teams
4. Performance monitoring to ensure continuous improvement and optimization

This strategic partnership will further solidify Philip Morris Switzerland’s ability to meet market demands while driving efficiency in visual merchandising.
