Renais, the luxury gin from siblings Alex and Emma Watson, announces UK distribution partnership with Proof Drinks

Luxury gin brand Renais announces its partnership with British distributor Proof Drinks, as it continues its dynamic on trade expansion into 2024, building on successful launches in the UK, Italy, Germany and Australia, and upcoming US launch with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC).

Established in 2023 by siblings Alex and Emma Watson, Renais is carving a new path in the world of craft gin, a blend of family, star-power and industry acumen. Its provenance born from two generations of Watson family wine making at the family’s Domaine Watson vineyard in France, the name Renais means ‘Rebirth’ in French, a nod to its distinct winemaking heritage.

Cultivated in France and distilled in the UK, Renais co-founder & CEO Alex was inspired to create a spirit crafted from the grapes salvaged from the winemaking process; with the addition of pressed grapesfromthewinemakingproduction, localterroirandaselectionofnaturalbotanicals. Theresult is a vibrant, honey hued modern gin; its bottle a nod to the artisanal nature of its craft and community and the only gin to be derived from a terroir, capturing the spirit and heritage of French winemaking, exciting both sommeliers and bartenders alike.

Renais celebrates family, friendship and togetherness and lending itself to the natural ease of relaxed gatherings over food. On trade, Renais can be found in Soho House, Gaucho, Scarfes Bar at The Rosewood Hotel and Kwant.

Alex Watson, commented: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with Proof Drinks. In just under a year, we have established exceptional organic demand for Renais, building our impressive portfolio of accounts from the ground up. Now, with Proof’s fantastic wealth of experience and established relationships, we look forward to building on our momentum and further accelerating Renais’ growth across London and the UK.”

Managing Director of Proof Drinks, John Vider said: “Renais Gin joining our portfolio marks an exciting

chapter for Proof Drinks, presenting a compelling growth opportunity within the super-premium gin market. With the visionary leadership of Emma & Alex Watson, their reach and influence add a unique dynamic that will undoubtedly amplify Renais’ presence here in the UK. Alongside the craftsmanship and dedication of the team behind the brand, we are thrilled to grow our Gin portfolio to support

customers at all levels as the landscape evolves.”
