Rithum appointed by B&Q to help drive e-commerce growth

Rithum, the world’s most trusted e-commerce network, has been appointed by UK home improvement retailer, B&Q, to support the retailer’s marketplace expansion by drastically reducing the time it takes for brands to be onboarded to the B&Q website.

Rithum’s collaboration with B&Q will offer a more efficient and user-friendly experience for sellers on B&Q’s marketplace, and halve the time taken to onboard new sellers. It opens up new opportunities for home and DIY sellers seeking to expand their reach across diverse sales channels.

Philip Hall, managing director for EMEA at Rithum, added: “Consumers are more often than not shopping around for the best price, and even traditionally brick and mortar sectors are becoming more present online.  Home improvement became a big focus during lockdown and being able to bring new products online quickly and efficiently will be essential to success as trends evolve.

“Our collaboration will mean B&Q can easily expand its inventory catalogue and strengthen customer and supplier relations. Tools like automated SKU conversion, product discovery, and supplier and product performance insights give them the flexibility to launch and manage any partnership model. All essential factors in helping to support growth.”

Joanna McKew, head of business development at B&Q, commented: “We’re committed to continually expanding our range at B&Q marketplace, and being able to onboard new products quickly is crucial to this so that we can give customers even more choice to help make it easier to improve their homes.

“Reducing the time taken to get products live allows us to be flexible and react to trends quickly. Rithum provides us with the ability to leverage a single, powerful platform, that gives retailers and brands the operational agility to connect with our customers, to help drive our e-commerce revenue.”
