Royal cakemaker Fiona Cairns has announced its first ever listings with Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s biggest retailers.

The premium bakery has created an exclusively decorated version of its popular Fiona Cairns Fairy Cakes (RRP £7.00) for Sainsbury’s using colourful fruit designs. Stocked alongside these are its classic 4-pack Fiona Cairns Confetti Vanilla Cupcakes (RRP £7.00). Both items are available now in 308 of its stores and online.

Fiona Cairns is known for its handmade and hand decorated cakes and for creating the wedding cake of the Prince and Princess of Wales. Its luxury cakes and biscuits are also currently listed in Waitrose and Ocado. The Leicestershire-based business was established by Fiona Cairns from her kitchen table in 1986 and this year celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Johanna Lewis, senior commercial manager, at Fiona Cairns says: “This achievement is the result of months of hard work and collaboration across the business. Every department has played a part in making this launch possible.  Seeing our products on Sainsbury’s shelves is a fantastic moment for our business and a testament to the quality, creativity and dedication that goes into everything we do. It’s a proud moment for Fiona Cairns and an exciting step forward as we continue to bring beautifully crafted cakes and bakes to more customers across the UK.
