Seasalt CornwallContemporary Cornish clothing brand, Seasalt, is excited to announce its collaboration with British brand Community Clothing, founded by designer Patrick Grant, introducing an exciting collection of menswear essential pieces. The two names draw on their combined expertise to create a capsule range of four garments, all made in the UK.

From the very first conversation between Seasalt and Community Clothing, their shared purpose has been to craft a collection that focuses on the common values of both brands – bringing the best quality fabrics, practical features and enduring style to customers’ wardrobes and shining a spotlight on Community Clothing’s British manufacturing experience.

The Community Clothing X Seasalt collection comprises four standout pieces, a utility jacket, jeans, a jumper and walking socks. “Community Clothing has always been a brand that we’ve followed with interest,” says Seasalt chief creative officer, Laura Watson. ‘As we’ve been growing our Seasalt Menswear collection in recent years, their experience in denim, in particular, attracted them to us as we believe our customers will appreciate the new jeans in our range, along with the outfitting options provided overall. We’ve worked with core Community Clothing shapes, drawing on our distinctive Seasalt colour palette, and the resulting range perfectly reflects Cornish style and UK craft. We’re looking forward to seeing the reaction from our customers.”

Patrick Grant adds: “Community Clothing has always celebrated the very best of British workmanship and the wonderful things that make our textile communities such great places to live and work. Likewise Seasalt has always celebrated the best of their small corner of Britian, from the colourful social and industrial heritage to the beautiful land and seascapes, they celebrate all that makes Cornwall wonderful, and it was a pleasure to work with them on this project.”

The capsule collection comprises four key garments, providing customers with pieces that will stand the test of time, both for durability and style. Firstly, the Chore Jacket is a contemporary take on a timeless workwear staple, cut and sewn in Blackburn, Lancashire. Constructed with a quality cotton canvas milled in Todmordern, creating a local supply chain and minimising environmental impact. The jacket is made for an easy fit, with a four-button placket, designed with three external pockets and an internal chest pocket inspired by heritage workers’ jackets.

Next, our Raw Selvedge Straight Jeans are the perfect investment piece, fully riveted and designed for easy, everyday wear with a straight fit and five practical pockets. Made with a rigid and durable raw selvedge denim that’s crafted to last, the jeans become unique to you the wearer as the fabric softens and fades with every wear and wash. They are cut and sewn with felled seams and a chain-stitched hem in Blackburn, Lancashire for a classic, timeless look.

Then the Community Clothing X Seasalt Crew Neck Jumper is a classic crew neck made in Scotland, knitted with a quality two-ply lambswool yarn spun in Yorkshire. With an easy fit designed to be worn day-in, day-out, this jumper is a wardrobe centrepiece, thoughtfully designed with saddle shoulders and classic ribbed trims for a neat finish at the neck, cuffs and hem.

Finally, for the perfect pair of walking socks, Community Clothing X Seasalt Walking Socks are ribbed and cushioned for comfort. They’re knitted in Hathern, Leicestershire with a soft organic cotton blend, ideal for strolls on the beach and coastal paths.

Customers can shop the collection online from 15 October at www.seasaltcornwall.com. The Community Clothing X Seasalt range will retail at £119 for the Chore Jacket, in either Sea Cave or Burnt Wood colourways, £128 for the Selvedge Jeans, £89 for the Crew Neck Jumper, in Pear or French Blue colour options, and £8.50 for Walking Socks, in Conker, Tide and Willow colourways.
