Shopify, a leading commerce technology company, today announced a series of enhancements to its built-in fulfilment offering, giving merchants a streamlined, all-in-one solution to manage shipping. All features are available natively within the Shopify admin, eliminating the need for external apps, carrier portals or additional software.
For Shopify merchants, the sale doesn’t end when someone clicks “buy.” It’s just beginning. Repeat customers are won and lost during fulfilment. Yet for many, fulfilment means juggling multiple systems—third-party apps, carrier websites, inventory tools—that fragment their workflow and eat up hours.
Shopify’s latest updates tackle these daily struggles and introduce new global carrier partnerships, time-saving bulk order tools, improved international workflows, and expanded access to integrated third-party logistics partners. Key updates include:
- More carriers, better rates: Merchants can now access exclusive rates from an expanded network of major global carriers including Evri, Yodel, DPD, and now, for the first time, Royal Mail.
- Ship faster with time-saving tools: Filter and fulfil up to 250 orders simultaneously, with one-click label printing helping to eliminate repetitive work. Also includes smart shipping recommendations that learn from order history to help ship even faster.
- Built-in protection: Address validation and fraud detection catch errors before packages ship, and claims can be filed directly within Shopify to resolve issues as fast as possible.
- Shopify Fulfillment Network: For merchants ready to outsource fulfilment entirely, Shopify’s expanded network now connects merchants to more trusted partners including Amazon Multichannel Fulfillment, Bigblue, DHL Fulfillment Network, GoBolt, and Mayple. Merchants can also monitor order status, shipping performance and inventory levels with 3PL partners.
“Shipping used to be a necessary evil that pulled focus from running your business,” says Vibhor Chhabra, Director of Product at Shopify. “With our unified system, merchants can streamline fulfilment, deliver faster, and build customer loyalty at every stage of growth.”
As part of these new upgrades, Royal Mail will become available as a carrier for UK merchants within Shopify for the first time—enabling shipping and fulfilment with greater confidence.
“We’re not just solving today’s shipping challenges,” adds Vibhor. “We’re building infrastructure that adapts from day one to every stage of growth. These updates turn fulfilment from a daily headache into something that actually builds brand loyalty, reduces friction and drives growth.”
