SIDES surpasses £1m revenue in a week for the first time

SIDES, the fastest-growing British-born fried chicken restaurant chain launched by YouTube collective the Sidemen, has surpassed the £1M a week mark just six months after opening its first dine-in restaurant in the UK.

Initially launched as a delivery-only service, SIDES has since expanded into food courts, high street restaurants, and, most recently into retail with a launch of quality meat snacking products into Tesco, and a full range of products exclusive to Iceland.

The popularity of SIDES, driven by high-quality, freshly cooked food, well-executed campaigns and the power of the Sidemen brand, has enabled the brand to take its success and expand its availability even further.

Robin Mehta, CEO of SIDES says, “Since the Iceland announcement earlier this month, we’ve experienced a significant increase in foot traffic to our restaurants, driven by a rise in brand awareness.

We created the SIDES brand with the goal of becoming recognised as the UK’s home of freshly cooked, high-quality fried chicken. Every piece of chicken served in our restaurants is freshly cooked and never frozen, a commitment that has been key to our success. We aim to make the brand accessible to everyone, delivering the finest chicken both on-site and in-store, at an affordable price. Achieving £1M in one week is a significant milestone and a strong indicator of the growing recognition of our restaurant’s quality.

This has been an incredibly exciting week for our brand, but our growth doesn’t stop here – this is just the beginning of our SIDES journey.”

SIDES has announced it plans to grow its restaurant count from six to twenty within its first year, including launching in some more major UK shopping centres.
