Sofology responds to surge in smart sofa sales with tech-led Allure launch

Sofology UK Sofa specialist, Sofology, continues to lead the way in contemporary living with the launch of its brand-new Allure Sofa Range later this month, following a significant rise in consumer demand for tech-enhanced smart seating.

Since December 2024, the company has reported a 44% uplift in sales of sofas with additional tech features such as heated seats, fridges, smart consoles and speakers.

Growth within the smart sofa category has been consistent for the sofa retailer since 2023, with cinema-style sofa sales increasing approximately 75% year on year.

“As people spend more time in their living rooms than ever before, we see this impacting the central role our sofas play and in turn what we expect from them,” comments Gisela Lancaster, Head of Buying at Sofology.

“Consumer appetite for stylish sofas with integrated features continues to grow and whilst technological advancements are central to this demand, so too is stylish design and quality craftsmanship.

“Sofology has always taken a design-led approach to every sofa range and the Allure offers a level of ‘smart chic’ that will appeal to both early adopters and style-conscious home makers.”

The sofa’s advanced touchscreen control panel allows users to manage music via Bluetooth, recline and adjust headrests with ease and manage temperatures for seats with a single swipe of the screen.

Designed for those looking to elevate their living spaces with first-class convenience, the new Allure range combines premium features with a sleek, low-slung sofa style suited for modern living.

“Whilst functionality is prioritised in other areas of the home, the living room is a space where people value comfort and style above all else,” adds Lancaster.

“Team this with an increase in remote working, integration of IoT devices and better affordability and it’s no surprise that the Allure launch will be the first of many for the Sofology team over the next 12 months.”
