Søstrene GreneThis summer, popular Danish lifestyle brand, Søstrene Grene, is continuing its UK expansion with a new store opening in Canary Wharf. Known for its Scandi-inspired design, affordable homewares and signature sense of ‘hygge’, the brand will soon bring its unique shopping experience to the heart of London’s business district.

Customers will be able to explore Søstrene Grene’s much-loved selection of homewares, kitchen accessories, small furniture, soft furnishings, hobby supplies and seasonal decorations – all inspired by the brand’s minimalist Scandinavian design and focus on everyday ‘hygge’. With new arrivals landing each week, the collection is constantly refreshed to keep things feeling new and inspiring.

Set in the heart of Canary Wharf’s shopping district, the new store is designed to offer a calm and welcoming escape from the everyday. Featuring warm lighting, classical music and the brand’s signature labyrinth-style layout, it encourages a slower, more relaxed way to shop.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene, comments: “We’re thrilled to open in Canary Wharf, a location that’s at the heart of London’s business scene. This new store further strengthens our commitment to expanding Søstrene Grene across the city, where we already have a loyal following. With its mix of work and leisure, Canary Wharf offers the ideal backdrop for our unique Scandinavian approach to retail, creating a space where customers can unwind and find inspiration amidst the hustle of city life.”

With more than 300 stores across 17 markets, the global footprint continues to grow alongside ambitious UK expansion plans, including opening 100 new stores by 2027.

UK Venture Partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, run Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and the South of England.

Norma Jacob comments: “We are excited to bring Søstrene Grene to Canary Wharf, a location that offers so much energy and potential. The new store will not only serve London’s business community but also introduce even more people to our commitment to affordable design that enhances everyday life. We’re proud to be part of the journey as we continue to expand Søstrene Grene’s reach across the UK.”

Richard Power adds: “Canary Wharf offers a unique opportunity for us to connect with a diverse range of people – from local professionals to visitors who come to experience the area’s vibrant atmosphere.  We’re excited to offer a peaceful retreat that brings inspiration and quality to one of London’s most dynamic districts.”

Stuart Fyfe, Managing Director of Retail, Leisure, and Hospitality at Canary Wharf Group, said: “Søstrene Grene is a fantastic addition to the Wharf, bringing its home décor and creative projects to the neighbourhood. We’ve created a fantastically vibrant mix of brands at the Wharf catering to the needs of our workers, residents, and visitors alike and in response, we’re continuing to see our footfall rise attracting customers from a wide catchment.”

The official launch date of Søstrene Grene, Canary Wharf will be announced soon, opening summer 2025.
