Spring GDS is gearing up for Golden Quarter by hiring for seven additional positions including health and safety experts in its key UK sites. Also turning five of its temporary staff into permanent team members as the cross-border logistics and e-commerce specialist gears up for Festive season.
PostNL’s international subsidiary is on a mission to engage and retain British talent as it continues to invest in its UK operations. Coming after the opening of Spring GDS’ new UK hub at London Heathrow. Also the expansion of its operation at Haydock earlier this year.
Indeed, the company is also committed to making great and safe place for staff to work in the busy winter months. Also investing near six figures in:
- A revamped staff canteen at Heathrow
- Sustainable heating in key sites at Heathrow and Haydock
- Warmer clothing for the staff as the winter months draw in
- Improving its policies on matters such as fertility support and sabbatical leave
With recent Manpower figures showing that 76% of UK employers seeking talent in transport, logistics and automotive are facing skills shortages, Spring GDS, which has employee engagement rates of (95%) is also hosting regular Townhalls to create social and professional bridges between Operations and Office staff. Hearing additional ideas from all of its team members on how to make work as safe and fulfiling as possible.
