Sainsbury’sFrom tomorrow, all digitally registered Nectar users have the chance to collect at least 1,500 bonus points by completing personalised shopping tasks through the brand’s Count up to Christmas challenge.

Customers will be given five personalised shopping tasks to complete while shopping at Sainsbury’s in-store or online over the festive season, once each is complete they will receive bonus Nectar points on top of the usual points collected during their shop, and the next task will unlock.

The challenge, running from 9th October to 15th December, is available to all digitally registered Nectar users. To take part, shoppers simply need to log in to their account on the Nectar app and tap ‘join the challenge’ to reveal their tasks.

Alex Naisby, Director of CRM & Loyalty at Sainsbury’s, said: “Returning for another year, our hugely popular Count up to Christmas challenge offers customers another way to collect even more Nectar points when shopping with Sainsbury’s. Whether you like to save them up for a seasonal treat or put them towards your weekly shop, we hope that our customers enjoy getting in the festive spirit with us in the run up to Christmas.”

Nectar offers its users over 500 partners to collect points from when they shop, including Sainsbury’s, Argos and British Airways, to name a few. Customers have the choice to spend their points when and where they like with a wide variety of partners. Some use their points frequently on everyday essentials like groceries or fuel, whilst others love to save them up for a special occasion, such as going toward their big Christmas food shop.

Already a Nectar customer? Existing Nectar customers can take part in Count up to Christmas by joining the challenge in the Nectar app. To collect points customers can either scan their Nectar app at the checkout or when using SmartShop in store or, if doing an online shop, by linking Nectar to their Sainsbury’s Groceries account. Existing Nectar users with a physical card can get involved by downloading the Nectar app, registering with their current Nectar card number and joining the challenge.

Not yet a Nectar customer but want to get involved? To get started and sign up, it’s as simple as downloading the Nectar app on a smartphone or tablet and joining the challenge. From there customers can start earning bonus points and find more information about where to collect and spend points.
