Superdry streamlines operations with Cegid retail store excellence

Leading fashion retailer Superdry has transformed its store operations and retail communication with the implementation of Cegid Retail Store Excellence, an AI-powered task management platform, that has helped the brand drive clarity, compliance and consistency across its global retail footprint.

With stores across the UK, Europe and the US, Superdry’s expanding presence had outgrown its previous legacy system, which had become difficult to customise, administer and scale. The retailer sought a modern, intuitive solution that could support real-time communication, streamline operational execution and empower store teams, while reducing admin and overhead.

“With an ever-growing demand on Head Office teams’ workload, Cegid Retail Store Excellence has saved countless hours and gives us peace of mind that our retail teams have everything they need to operate efficiently, commercially, and safely to meet brand expectations and objectives” said Liz Packe, Global Corporate Communications Manager at Superdry.

Cegid Retail Store Excellence proved to be the turning point. The smart, scalable platform enables Superdry’s head office teams to deliver targeted, branded communications by region, store or team to ensure updates are relevant, clear and actionable. Automated task management and real-time tracking have significantly reduced admin time, enabling store staff to focus on delivering standout customer experiences.

In a dynamic retail environment with rotating store managers and distributed leadership, having a consistent source of truth has been essential. Cegid’s digital archive features, from training confirmations to visual merchandising guidelines, make compliance easy to monitor and maintain.

The platform is an invaluable asset, helping the retailer navigate ongoing operational pressures with agility and control.

Superdry is currently undergoing a strategic turnaround, with an intense focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs and reinforcing operational discipline. Against a backdrop of rising employment costs, including higher National Insurance Contributions and a record increase in the National Minimum Wage, the need for streamlined, cost-effective retail execution has never been greater.

Cegid Retail Store Excellence plays a key role in this strategy, supporting Superdry’s retail teams with the tools they need to stay compliant, uphold brand standards and respond quickly to changing priorities.

“More than a task management platform, it’s a trusted operational tool,” added Packe. “It helps us do more with less — and do it better.”

Alan Holcroft, UK managing director Cegid, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to support Superdry, an iconic British brand known for its style, creativity and international reach. To play a part in helping them drive operational transformation and stay agile in a demanding retail environment is a real privilege. Our mission is to make retail execution easier and more effective and it’s fantastic to see that vision come to life at Superdry.”
