THIS™ THIS™ changes everything. Again. Plant-based food company THIS™ is launching one of its most exciting, deliciously nutritious and versatile products to date, packed full of natural protein, seeds and superfoods. No capes required, the Super Superfood range includes THIS™ is Super Superfood Super Block – a high-protein, plant-based block with 30% more protein than tofu*, and THIS™ is Super Superfood Marinated Pieces – tasty wholefood cubes in a lemon and herb marinade.

With a short, natural ingredients list, just wholefood goodness, both the Super Block and Marinated Pieces launch on 28th April in Tesco and Ocado (followed by Waitrose on 30th and Sainsbury’s in May), with the Super Block also available in Asda in May, both are priced at £3.95.

Saving the day, one bite at a time, the THIS™ is Super Superfood range includes a Super Block and Marinated Pieces:

  • THIS™ is Super Superfood Super Block (250g) – a high-protein, plant-based block made from fava bean protein, seeds (pumpkin, flaxseed, hemp hearts and chia seeds) and vegetables (shiitake mushrooms and spinach), it offers 18g of protein per 100g. The mushrooms give a firm texture when you bite into it and natural umami flavour, as well as the block counting as one of your five a day. It’s also high in fibre and offers a source of iron and Omega-3.

  • THIS™ is Super Superfoods Marinated Pieces (180g) – high-protein pieces made from the same Superfood blend as the block, infused with a lemon and herb marinade for extra flavour.

THIS™ is Super Superfood range will lead on nutritionals and texture in the wholefoods category, with a broad range of claims that are unmatched. Known and loved for their award winning tasty products, the latest range from THIS™ fills a gap in the plant-based category with a new range that delivers against health, convenience and flavour. The block and pieces are incredibly versatile in the kitchen, and great for stir-fries, curries, pastas and ramen dishes, holding its texture when fried in a pan.

Mark Cuddigan, CEO of THIS™, commented: “We have created a whole new plant-based protein and texture using nothing but natural ingredients – it’s like discovering a new superpower. We think that’s pretty super…so much so, we named it twice! The plant-based category is evolving, and THIS™ is Super Superfood offers consumers something new – a product and format that is high in protein and also delivers a delicious, versatile, and nutritious option.”

At the heart of THIS™ Super Superfood range is a cutting-edge approach to plant-based innovation. Commenting on launch Luke Bryne, Innovation Director at THIS™ shared:

“Our innovative superfood technology harnesses the natural synergy of beans, seeds, and mushrooms to create an entirely new plant-based texture. At its core, we use fava bean protein as the primary source of protein, blending it with shiitake mushrooms, celebrated for their rich umami depth and unique texture. To further enhance the sensory experience, we incorporate selected seeds that add layers of complexity and mouthfeel. This cutting-edge approach allows us to craft a next-generation plant-based protein – one that is not only nutritious but also elevates texture and taste to unprecedented levels. This is a perfect example of how, with the right approach, simple ingredients can be transformed into something truly innovative.”

Cuddigan added: “THIS™ isn’t going anywhere though, we’re just growing. We still make the best plant-based meat alternatives, but now we’re giving consumers more options. The future for the plant-based category is about creating something for everyone, whether you’re a meat-lover, flexitarian, or fully plant-based. So whether you want meat-like texture or whole-food protein, we’ve got you covered.”

If you’re looking for a nutrient-dense addition to your diet or simply a more flavourful alternative to tofu, the new THIS™ Super Superfood range makes it easy to create delicious, wholesome meals. Power up your shopping list with THIS™ is Super Superfood Block and THIS™ is Super Superfood Marinated Pieces from 28th April 2025.
