Ukiyo Yuzu GinKirker Greer Spirits is delighted to announce that Ukiyo Japanese Yuzu Gin will be launching into Co-op this June. This marks Ukiyo Yuzu Gin’s first major UK grocery listing, bringing the bright, citrus-led premium gin to 210 Co-op stores nationwide.
The partnership marks a landmark moment for Kirker Greer Spirits as it expands the reach of Ukiyo Yuzu Gin to a broader UK audience through Co-op’s extensive retail network. Known for its bold citrus character and smooth, refreshing finish, Ukiyo Yuzu Gin is set to attract both gin enthusiasts and new consumers looking for innovative, high-quality spirits. Its listing strengthens the retailer’s premium gin offering, aligning with the growing demand for Asian-inspired spirits and unique flavour experiences.

Phoebe Baxter-Graham, Co-op spirits buyer, commented on the listing: “Ukiyo Yuzu Gin is a standout addition to our premium gin selection. The popularity of Asian spirits is soaring, and Ukiyo’s distinct yuzu profile offers something fresh and exciting for our members and customers. I’ve been an advocate for the brand since day one, the combination of Ukiyo’s stunning bottle and its incredible taste won me over.”

Ryan McFarland, chief commercial & strategy officer of Drinksology Kirker Greer, added: “Securing a listing with Co-op is a significant milestone for Ukiyo Spirits and for Kirker Greer Spirits. Ukiyo Yuzu Gin has already been incredibly well received in the UK on-trade, and this move into a major grocery retailer is another step forward in our mission to bring premium, craft-led spirits to a wider audience. We are excited to see Ukiyo Spirits continue to grow across both the off and on-premise channels.”

This listing marks an expansion of Ukiyo Yuzu Gin’s footprint in the UK, where it is currently available through leading independent premium retailers, bars, hotels and restaurants.

Kirker Greer Spirits is excited to bring this unique gin brand to Co-op’s shelves and looks forward to further collaboration with one of the UK’s leading retailers.

Created in Chiba, east of Tokyo, Ukiyo Yuzu Gin offers the zesty, tart flavour of yuzu, balanced with bright, tangy orange from Mikan Peel, more citrus, and delicate spice notes from Shansho pepper. Its delicate citrus character and smooth finish make it a versatile choice for gin enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Ukiyo Yuzu Gin will be available at Co-op stores nationwide from mid-June 2025.
