Victoria Place, Woking announces a strong string of new lettings and lease renewals.

The new leases further cement its position as a growing hub for retail and leisure following its successful rebrand in 2022, continuing to showcase its appeal to businesses and customers alike.

In recent months, Victoria Place has seen an influx of new lettings including:

  • Italian restaurant chain Zizzi will soon be opening its doors at 53-55 Commercial Way. The new restaurant offers 4,090sq ft of space and is prominently located at the junction of Mercia Walk and Commercial Way. Zizzi has signed a 15-year lease. The Tenant was advised by KLM.

  • Also on Mercia Walk is the new Fast Heal Chemist. Providing 2,282sq ft, the new Chemist offers a full range of services and has taken a new 20-year lease.

  • The Works has significantly upsized to a 2,224sq ft unit almost doubling the amount of sales space. The Works has taken a new 10-year lease advised by Four & Co.

  • Supercuts is investing in a second store located in Henry Plaza, opening a larger salon. The 1,743sq ft salon will open later in the year. The tenant has taken a new 10-year lease.

  • Grape Tree. Natural food specialist Grape Tree has also recently opened in Wolsey Walk. Acquiring 1,657sq ft on a new 10-year term. The Tenant was advised by Tom Powter & Co.

In addition to these new leases, the centre has welcomed some new independent businesses to its mix including.

  • Soft play centre Oasis Play is currently fitting out its new home in the Peacocks centre, and will be opening soon.

  • Unit 1 Wolsey Walk is currently under offer to H50 Barbers

  • Mobile Gift has opened on Wolsey Walk. The independent phone company specialises in phone repairs and accessories and has taken a 10-year lease on a 1634 sq ft unit. The Tenant was advised by Kerney Bell.

  • Savills acted for the Landlord on all the new lettings.

Elsewhere, Vision Express has recently refitted, TUI has renewed its lease for another five years, and Sports Direct is undertaking a lease renewal for their 9,727sq ft unit adjacent to Sainsbury’s.

The number of void units is well below the national average showing the confidence retailers and leisure providers have with the centre.

John-Paul Jackson, centre manager for Victoria Place is excited by these developments, stating: “We are thrilled to see the strong appeal the centre has for retailers and leisure a like. These new agreements and renewals underscore our continued success and growing appeal as a premier retail and leisure destination. The diverse mix of established brands and exciting new businesses reflects our commitment to offering a dynamic and engaging experience for both local residents and visitors. As we continue to expand, Victoria Place remains dedicated to creating a vibrant atmosphere that supports our tenants and delights our customers.”

These recent lease agreements and new openings are part of Victoria Place’s continued growth strategy, positioning the centre as a thriving destination for both local shoppers and visitors from further afield. The combination of retail, dining, and leisure offerings creates a vibrant atmosphere, and the ongoing commitment from established brands highlights the centre’s strong commercial appeal.
