VIVIR Tequila boosts presence in Waitrose

The award-winning, super premium 100% Agave Tequila brand expands Waitrose listing and introduces its full range in-store

VIVIR Tequila (www.vivirtequila.com), the British-owned premium 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila brand, has expanded its listing in Waitrose by 199%. Effective August 5th, VIVIR Tequila’s Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo Tequilas will see increased distribution, and the brand will introduce its Café VS Tequila Coffee Liqueur onto shelves in 248 Waitrose branches nationwide.

This significant expansion is a testament to the fast and continued growing popularity and demand for premium Tequila options amongst consumers in the UK. IWSR drinks market analysis predicted the super-premium tequila category would become twice the size of gin by 2027[1].

John Vine, Buyer at Waitrose, commented: “We are thrilled to expand our offering of VIVIR Tequila in our stores. The premium quality and craftsmanship behind VIVIR’s range have resonated well with our customers. With the addition of Café VS, we are excited to provide even more options for Tequila enthusiasts and those looking to explore the versatility of this exceptional spirit.”

Paul Hayes, Co-founder of VIVIR Tequila, said: “Our mission has always been to change perceptions of Tequila, showcasing it as a premium spirit perfect for sipping and mixing. The expansion of our listings in Waitrose is a fantastic milestone for us. We are particularly excited about the addition of Café VS, which combines our award-winning Blanco Tequila with rich Mexican coffee for a unique and indulgent experience.”

The VIVIR Tequila range is multi award winning, notching up 28 medals across the four bottles the brand produces, which includes: VIVIR Tequila Blanco (£40), VIVIR Tequila Reposado (£44), VIVIR Tequila Añejo (£53) and VIVIR Café VS (£33).

The VIVIR Tequila range is available to purchase from retailers including: Waitrose, Ocado, Amazon, Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges, Master of Malt, The Whisky Exchange and the brand’s website www.vivirtequila.com
