Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) today announces the introduction of Health & Wellness at The Village at Westfield London, a dedicated destination on Level 1 of The Village for leading health and wellness brands and services. This groundbreaking addition marks a major milestone in the centre’s evolution, introducing over 50,000 sq. ft. of premium space designed to meet the growing demand for accessible, high-quality health and wellness experiences within a retail environment.
The launch signals a transformational moment for Westfield London as it adapts to shifting consumer preferences. With the UK’s private healthcare market valued at £11 billion and URW’s recent How We Shop: From Play to Purpose report revealing that 70% of UK adults are open to accessing non-emergency health services in non-traditional settings like shopping centres, the demand for innovative wellness destinations is stronger than ever.
Several exciting new openings are already underway. Betterview, a laser eye surgery clinic, opened in August 2024, while Prince Pharmacy, a private pharmacy group, is set to redefine health and wellbeing this spring with the launch of its expansive flagship branch. Further enhancing the medical offering, Effect Doctors, a specialist clinic known for its IV drips and proactive approach to healthcare, will open a 550 sq. ft. clinic this Spring. With 63% of Gen Z and Millennials expressing interest in accessing health services during their lunch breaks, these businesses are well-positioned to meet the needs of today’s time-conscious consumers.
The next wave of openings includes wellness-focused brand StretchLAB, which will unveil a 1,462 sq. ft. space in April offering personalised one-on-one assisted stretching to enhance mobility and flexibility. Expanding the wellness offering further, So.Shell, a premium London nail and brow salon, will open a 740 sq. ft. space in Spring 2025, providing a new destination for high quality bespoke treatments and relaxation.

The Health & Wellness Village is set to become a cornerstone of The Village’s redevelopment, blending wellbeing and luxury in a dynamic new space over the course of 2025. This ambitious transformation will elevate both levels of The Village to enhance the overall shopping experience. The First Floor will be transformed to host a variety of new medical and wellness brands, creating a dedicated space for health-conscious consumers. On the Ground Floor, the focus will remain on premium and luxury brands, with an upgraded aesthetic that preserves its status as a destination for high-end shopping, offering an array of renowned labels in a sophisticated and inviting environment.
