Whittard of Chelsea Whittard of Chelsea, the renowned British tea, coffee, and hot chocolate specialist, is delighted to announce the opening of its newest store at Trafford Centre, Manchester – one of the UK’s most popular shopping destinations.

To celebrate the launch, customers will receive a free Whittard Jute Bag with every spend of £25 or more during the first three days of opening (subject to availability). In addition, on Saturday 15th November in line with the centre’s Christmas Parade, Whittard of Chelsea will also gift the first 30 people through the door a free goodie bag worth over £30.

A beloved fixture of the British high street since 1886, Whittard of Chelsea continues to expand its nationwide presence, now operating over 40 stores across the UK, including its flagship in London’s Covent Garden.

Designed in collaboration with a leading design agency, the new Trafford Centre store beautifully captures Whittard’s 139 years of expertise while introducing a fresh, contemporary twist. The space reflects the brand’s timeless heritage through elegant, modern design details and an inviting atmosphere that encourages customers to immerse themselves in the world of fine tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.

Visitors can explore Whittard’s exceptional range of products – from signature blends and single-origin coffee beans sourced from around the world, to indulgent hot chocolates and beautiful gifting collections.

Manchester’s Trafford Centre store offers an interactive and fully immersive retail experience, designed to delight both loyal fans and new customers alike. Shoppers are invited to sample a curated selection of Whittard of Chelsea’s finest teas, hot chocolates, and coffees, with tasting stations offering a rotating menu of blends and flavours. From rich, velvety hot chocolates to aromatic loose-leaf teas and expertly roasted coffee beans, each tasting brings Whittard of Chelsea’s craftsmanship and passion to life.

The space is thoughtfully designed to engage all the senses with the rich aroma of freshly brewed drinks, the visual warmth of Whittard’s iconic packaging, and the opportunity to explore the brand’s world through personal recommendations from knowledgeable in-store experts. Customers can also discover exclusive collections and beautifully packaged gifts, perfect for every occasion.

Kate Pearson, director of portfolio leasing at Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s asset manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome a heritage brand like Whittard of Chelsea to Trafford Centre. We are confident that the brand’s premium range will be very popular amongst our visitors, and perfectly complements the existing drinks offering at the centre. Whittard of Chelsea also offers unique and quality gift ideas for customers, providing another great option in the busy Christmas shopping period and all-year round.”

Simon Jones, head of retail at Whittard of Chelsea, says: “We’re thrilled to be opening our latest store at Trafford Centre – a fantastic shopping location with an amazing mix of brands. This new opening reflects Whittard of Chelsea’s ongoing growth, and we look forward to welcoming customers to experience all that we have to offer.”
