Canyon Bicycles opens two UK experience partners to strengthen CX

Canyon BicyclesAs a direct-to-consumer brand, Canyon Bicycles has always had a strong and personal relationship with its customers and fans. Now though, Canyon is expanding and improving its range of in-person customer touchpoints, in addition to the vast possibilities from its digital tools, with two new experience locations in the UK

The launch and opening of Moloko in south London and Veloroo in Sheffield offer new ways for Canyon riders and cycling fans living in the UK to experience the brand.

At these new Canyon partner locations customers can get up close and personal with the latest Canyon bikes and gear, and take advantage of servicing, repair and bike pick-ups, benefiting from a whole on-brand service and rider experience.

Global roll-out of Canyon’s Experience Partner programme

Moloko and Veloroo are joining a new global network of Canyon experience partners. By the end of 2025 there will be 15 Canyon experience partners in total, which will cover Germany, Belgium, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Czechia and the USA, in addition to the UK.

Canyon set up its Experience Partner programme to support product testing and expert consultations in the buying process. According to Canyon’s research4, this is a hugely important factor for those who prefer not to buy bikes online. Of those surveyed, 65% say that they would like to test their next bike prior to purchase, up to 60% of prospects saying they would love to get expert advice prior to purchase, and 53% say that they would prefer the after service of a bike dealer.

With factors like these in mind, it’s no surprise that Canyon is pursuing the strategy of investing in more personal touchpoints and experience locations.

“Through our new experience locations we’re bringing our direct-to-consumer model closer to riders and new customers. As well as bike services and a curated selection of our products, our Experience Partners will offer Canyon customers bike tests and bike collection options as well as running events to build and inspire their local cycling communities,” said Aaron Budd, Head of Sales and Marketing for Canyon UK/IE.

Not just a showroom

At both Moloko and Veloroo, Canyon fans and consumers will not only be able to browse the latest and greatest Canyon bikes but test them as well.

Both partners will have a curated selection of display bikes, from road to gravel to E-MTBs, plus a fleet of demo bikes on hand ready for customers to try out to get a feel for the ride. Team members will also be on hand to offer advice on the bikes as well as guiding customers through the Perfect Positioning System, the quick and easy way to find your perfect size bike.

If you’ve chosen your next Canyon at an Experience Partner, the journey doesn’t end there. With the launch of Canyon’s Collect and Ride service, consumers can also choose where to have their bike delivered. Your new Canyon will then be delivered to your approved Canyon partner of choice, where they will assemble it and book in a handover with you to go through any set up options and will be happy to answer any final questions before your first ride. With Collect and Ride launching alongside the opening of both Experience Partners, Canyon will continue to expand this offering across additional Authorised Service Partners throughout 2025.

At each site there will be experienced staff to support you with any queries about bikes, regardless of whether you own a Canyon bike or you’re considering one for your next purchase.

Something to complement your bike?

Canyon not only leads the way with their bikes; they have clothing and apparel covered too, including their new CLLCTV Rideable Streetwear line. Both Moloko and Veloroo will have a selection of the latest clothing drops for consumers to browse and consider.

CANYON’S UK EXPERIENCE PARTNERS

Moloko

Based in Barnes, South London – Moloko Cycling is a passion project dreamt up by founders Alex Gaudé and Paul Barthorpe. Their obsession with cycling started in Mallorca in 2018 and they founded their cycling business just after lockdown.

“We started Moloko because we wanted to support riders in their cycling journey. Whether they needed to choose the right bike, meet like-minded cyclists or enjoy a cycling holiday abroad, our mission was to enable people to get the most out of the sport.

“We’re very excited to deepen our collaboration with Canyon to keep providing a high level of support and services tailored to cyclists of all range and abilities.”  Alex Gaudé Cofounder Moloko

After working alongside the Canyon UK team since 2024 delivering numerous Canyon focused events and activations, Canyon is now taking the partnership to the next level, supporting the expansion of Moloko Cycling.

Moloko will be opening on Saturday 1st March, find out more about Moloko here:

Veloroo

Based in Sheffield, Veloroo is in a prime location to cater for Canyon fans and consumers in the North of England, a stone’s throw from the Pennine Way.

With Veloroo’s experience supporting Canyon Germany’s service operations in 2024, expanding to the UK for a full 360 partner experience is the perfect opportunity to elevate the partnership.

“We’re thrilled to open a Canyon Experience Partner location in Sheffield. With its rich cycling tapestry and vibrant outdoor culture, the city is the perfect place to connect with the community. This is just the start of something truly exciting!” Richard Hudson – Co-Founder of Veloroo

Veloroo will be opening the doors of their new Sheffield Experience Partner location on Saturday 15th March 2025. For further info on what Veloroo will be offering please visit https://veloroo.co.uk
