Beyond Meat® has announced the launch of Beyond Steak® pieces into Sainsbury’s this September.
From 24th September, shoppers will be able to add Beyond Steak Pieces to their Sainsbury’s baskets for the very first time. Launching in 248 stores nationwide – and coming soon to Ocado – the expansion makes it even easier for consumers across the UK to enjoy a delicious, convenient plant-based protein swap for their mealtime favourites.
Made from plant-based ingredients, Beyond Steak pieces are designed to deliver the juicy, tender bite and delicious taste of premium beef steak pieces but with the nutritional and environmental upsides of being plant-based.
Full of flavour, low in saturated fat and with 24g of protein per 100g, Beyond Steak is also highly versatile and works in many cuisines and dishes from wraps to tacos, curries and stir-fries.
One of Beyond Meat’s most exciting innovations to date, Beyond Steak was awarded the highest accolade – Platinum - at the 2024 Plant-Based Excellence Awards for its great taste and high protein and low saturated fat benefits.

The Beyond Steak pieces can be found in both Ocado’s and Sainsbury’s chilled sections for an RRP of £4.50.

From 8 October, Tesco will additionally expand distribution of Beyond Steak pieces, increasing availability into stores nationwide. The product first launched in Tesco in May 2025.
