tgin arrives on UK shores to shake up the textured haircare market

tgin Thank God It’s Natural (tgin), a leading black-owned natural haircare brand focused on long-term hair health, has officially arrived on UK shores. The 16-year-old brand, who has sold over 25 million products in the US with a global expansion only starting two years ago, has partnered with Boots to release its hero Moist Collection online and in stores nationwide.

As a leading player in the US textured hair market, tgin has amassed multiple accolades, including this year’s Essence Beauty Award and InStyle Red Carpet Beauty Award, as well as celebrity fans such as Glastonbury performer Doechii and Emmy winner Quinta Brunson. tgin is now bringing its trusted, no-nonsense solutions to UK customers who seek effective but natural care for a range of textured hair types.

The Moist Collection is the legacy of tgin featuring four of their best-selling products, each crafted with deeply moisturising ingredients like Shea Butter, Amla Oil, and Vitamin E. This powerhouse collection works to deliver long-lasting hydration, restore softness, and enhance shine, leaving textured hair nourished, manageable, and full of radiant, healthy curls.

Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo – RRP £16

Formulated to gently cleanse and detangle hair, without stripping strands of their natural oils. Infused with Amla Oil, Coconut Oil and Pro Vitamin B5, it’s designed to reduce breakage and increase moisture retention for soft, smooth and healthier hair.

Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner – RRP £16

Specially formulated to nourish dry, thirsty hair, this rich treatment is infused with Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil to deeply hydrate, repair, and restore strands from the inside out. Its creamy formula melts into textured hair, helping to smooth cuticles, reduce breakage, and bring back natural softness and shine.

Honey Miracle Hair Mask – RRP £19

As the No.1 best seller at Boots and a UK favourite, this rich, deep conditioning treatment delivers an instant boost for dry, colour-treated hair. Infused with Raw Honey for softness and shine and powered by Jojoba and Olive Oils – it nourishes, repairs, and restores stressed strands. For best results, apply generously after shampooing, comb through to evenly distribute, and leave on for 10–15 minutes under heat, or without heat it can be left on for 35-60 minutes in a plastic cap or warm towel. Finish off with a quick rinse to lock in maximum moisture.

Butter Cream Daily Moisturiser – RRP £16

Just like skin, our hair needs a daily moisturise too, especially on the scalp. This tgin cult classic is enriched with Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E to deliver essential hydration that leaves curls soft, defined, and easy to manage. Simply apply a small amount focusing on the ends and scalp, use daily or as needed for supple, hydrated curls.

Aris Singleton, CEO at tgin says: “This expansion into Boots marks an exciting new chapter for tgin as we share our brand on a global scale. For 16 years, our mission has been to redefine beauty by cultivating a community that empowers women, and entering the UK market with Boots allows us to reach a community that has long been searching for trusted, high-performance solutions. On a personal level, this milestone is a dream come true, as bringing tgin to Boots was also the dream of our founder—and my aunt—Chris-Tia Donaldson, before her passing in 2021. It’s an honor to continue her legacy and see this vision realized.”

Exclusively available at nationwide Boots stores and online, the range is priced from £16.00 to £19.00.
