Paul John Whisky unveils Its 2025 Christmas edition

Paul John WhiskyPaul John Whisky, India’s most awarded single malt, is delighted to unveil the Christmas Edition 2025, the 8th release in its much loved annual limited edition, and the oldest whisky that they have ever released. Crafted on the tropical shoes of Goa, this festive expression captures the warmth of the season with an exquisite unpeated malt, matured for eight years and finished in rare sherry cream casks.

The Paul John Christmas Edition 2025 is first matured for five years in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky then spends an additional two years maturing in 250L cream casks – Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry, before the two finishes are vatted together and aged for a final year. The result is a whisky of extraordinary richness and depth with a deep amber hue, full of stone fruits, butterscotch and a long, elegant finish reminiscent of Christmas cake, making it perfectly suited for the festive season.

“Each Christmas Edition tells its own story,” shares Master Blender Michael D’Souza, “And 2025 is one of indulgent harmony. The Spanish Cream Sherry casks, born of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso wine, have bestowed a richness that’s both sweet and sophisticated like Christmas.”

Every annual Christmas Edition release from Paul John Whisky has become a highlight for whisky lovers across the world. There are 6,254 bottles as part of this global release, the UK has an allocation of 420 bottles, and enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their bottles early, as previous editions have become highly sought-after collectibles. And once they’re gone, they’re gone!

As with all of Paul John whiskies, the 2025 Christmas Edition is a non-chill-filtered malt with no additives, which is bottled at 48% ABV delivering tropical sweetness, a warming spice, and creamy richness. It retails for £65 for 70cl through specialist spirit retailers.
