Independent family-owned Spanish brewery Estrella Galicia has today announced a new two-year partnership with one of Britain’s most celebrated, Michelin starred seafood chefs, Nathan Outlaw.
While separated by hundreds of miles, Galicia in north-west Spain and Cornwall share more than dramatic coastlines. Both are places where life is shaped by the Atlantic Ocean, where respect for the sea runs deep and where gathering around good food and drink is simply part of everyday life.
It’s this shared outlook that brings Estrella Galicia and Nathan Outlaw together.
For more than 120 years, Estrella Galicia has brewed its beer in Galicia using traditional methods and a commitment to doing things properly, never rushing the process. Nathan Outlaw has built his reputation in much the same way – championing exceptional seafood, treating outstanding ingredients with care and proving that simplicity, when done well, is often the most rewarding.
Rather than celebrating complexity, both believe that great food and great beer begins with quality ingredients, craftsmanship and respect and acknowledgement of where they come from.
The partnership will celebrate these shared values while shining a light on the Atlantic culture that connects Galicia and Cornwall – two regions where the sea shapes the landscape, the produce and the way people come together to eat.
Throughout the partnership, Nathan will work alongside Estrella Galicia across events, collaborations and trade activity, inspiring consumers to discover the flavours, traditions and generous hospitality that define coastal living.
Whether it’s freshly landed seafood, an expertly brewed beer or simply taking the time to enjoy a meal with family and friends, both Nathan Outlaw and Estrella Galicia believe the best experiences are often the simplest.
Leonora Mellish, Estrella Galicia Marketing Manager says: “Nathan is much more than one of Britain’s finest Michelin starred seafood chefs. He shares our belief that exceptional ingredients deserve respect and that great food and drink are about bringing people together.
Although we’re separated by the Bay of Biscay, Galicia and Cornwall feel remarkably similar. Both are proud coastal communities shaped by the Atlantic, where people understand the value of craftsmanship, local produce and taking time around the table.
We’re incredibly proud to welcome Nathan into the Estrella Galicia family and look forward to celebrating that shared Atlantic way of life together.”
Nathan Outlaw says: “The connection between Cornwall and Galicia felt completely natural from the very beginning.
Both places have an enormous respect for the sea and for the people who produce incredible ingredients. That’s always been at the heart of how I cook.
What I admire about Estrella Galicia is that same commitment to doing things properly. They’ve never lost sight of where they come from or the importance of quality, patience and authenticity. It feels like a genuine partnership built on shared values rather than simply shared products, and I’m excited to bring those stories to life together.”
