Sol de JaneiroSol de Janeiro is expanding its fragrance portfolio with the launch of Jelly Perfume Balm’s (£25), marking the brand’s first entry into the solid fragrance category. This new format launches exclusively with Boots in-store and online from 27th February.

The launch responds to accelerating consumer demand for portable, swipe-based fragrance formats, particularly among Gen Z shoppers seeking handbag-friendly, alcohol-free alternatives to traditional sprays. Solid perfume continues to gain momentum across social and search platforms, with “solid perfume” trending on TikTok and rises in Google searches as consumers look for travel-friendly and gym-ready scent formats.

Jelly Perfume Balm is formulated with concentrated fragrance oils in a smooth, alcohol-free balm texture, delivering up to 10 hours of wear. Each stick offers approximately 1,000 swipes, positioning the product as a longevity-driven alternative within the premium fragrance accessory space.

Rolling out in three of the brand’s hero Cheirosa variants;

  • 62 – sunny gourmand with notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla

  • 68 – vibrant floral with notes of Brazilian jasmine, pink dragon fruit and ocean air
  • 40 – sultry floral with notes of black amber plum, Jasmin blooms, and vanilla woods
The launch extends the brand’s established layering ecosystem across body care and fragrance, while expanding format innovation beyond mists and EDPs.
At £25, the balm sits within accessible premium pricing, offering an entry point into the brand’s fragrance portfolio while supporting format diversification within the category.
