New podcast “The Shopping Forecast” launches exploring what we buy and why

A new podcast, The Shopping Forecast, has launched, bringing together two leading voices in retail and fashion to unpack one of the most universal – and most overlooked – human behaviours: shopping.

Hosted by fashion brand consultant Elizabeth Stiles and retail strategist Catherine Erdly, The Shopping Forecast digs into the world of retail with curiosity, intelligence and the occasional unexpected turn.

Shopping is often dismissed as something superficial, but the hosts see it very differently. Retail shapes the high street, communities, identities and the way we live – and understanding what people are buying, they argue, is one of the clearest ways to understand where society is heading next.

Each week, Elizabeth and Catherine chat about shopping, consumer behaviour, retail trends, fashion, ecommerce and the future of the high street – bringing the receipts on current consumer trends and the cultural shifts shaping the way we shop, and unpacking the psychology behind our purchases and the brands redefining consumer culture.

As the rules of retail change, so do the deals shaping its future – and The Shopping Forecast is here to make sense of them.

“We’re creating the conversation we’d actually want to listen to that treats shopping, fashion and retail as the fascinating parts of culture they really are!” – Elizabeth Stiles and Catherine Erdly, Hosts of The Shopping Forecast

The Shopping Forecast is available now on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
