Pot Noodle secures a nationwide listing in Tesco’s Meal Deal offering

Pot NoodlePot Noodle, the nation’s number one brand in the quick meals and snacks category, has secured a nationwide listing in Tesco’s Meal Deal offering, which will see the iconic pots included in the Meal Deal at 600 large Tesco stores across the UK as a snack.

The expansion enhances Tesco’s food-to-go offering, upgrading the meal deal with a substantial, hot food option alongside the main and drink. This move responds to a growing demand for greater variety and value, allowing shoppers to create a satisfying lunch beyond traditional choices and helping to drive meal deal engagement and customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, it taps into a significant consumer trend with the ‘Pot Noodle sandwich’ craze reaching over 7.7 million people on social media last year, as consumers actively create and share their own ‘Pot Noodle sandwich’ content online.

Leading the expansion is the best-selling and most widely distributed SKU, Chicken & Mushroom. To support the launch, the 90g pots will feature a dedicated ‘Meal Deal Snack’ callout on the pack and are merchandised within the food-to-go fixture, ensuring high visibility in the store’s highest-traffic locations.

Madeleine Boulton, marketing manager, Mini Meals UK&I, Unilever, commented: “We are delighted to grow our partnership with Tesco and bring Pot Noodle to shoppers as part of the much-loved meal deal. We know consumers are always looking for ways to get more value and a better lunch and there has been a lot of hype on social media pairing Pot Noodle with sandwiches, so this felt like the right moment to take the partnership further. Not only does it celebrate a fan-favourite food pairing, it’s also a proven, high-performing option that adds greater choice and value within the food-to-go aisle.”

The Pot Noodle Meal Deal will be available in both of Tesco’s meal deal tiers:

  • Standard Meal Deal: £3.85 (Clubcard), £4.25 (Standard)
  • Premium Meal Deal: £5.50 (Clubcard), £6.00 (Standard)
