Akeneo joins Shopify’s partner program as a premier partner to accelerate composable commerce for global brands

Akeneo, the Product Experience (PX) Company and leading provider of Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, today announced it has officially joined Shopify’s Partner Program as a Premier Partner. This recognition reinforces Akeneo within Shopify’s global partner ecosystem, showcasing a deeper alignment, a proven technical integration, and a shared commitment to merchant success through strong product experiences.

This milestone solidifies Akeneo’s position as a key enabler of composable commerce for brands across the globe to create seamless, scalable product experiences for every touchpoint in the customer journey. As Shopify continues to expand its infrastructure for enterprise retailers, Akeneo’s Product Cloud solutions provide AI-powered product data enrichment and governance capabilities that fuel conversion and growth.

As a newly designated Shopify Premier Partner, Akeneo brings its AI-driven product content solutions to Shopify’s composable commerce ecosystem to help brands scale with confidence and ease. Akeneo enables a variety of brands, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to centralise, enrich, and optimise product content with AI tools, while Shopify provides agile, composable infrastructure for high-performing digital storefronts. Through this partnership, both companies are empowering merchants to improve product data quality and consistency, accelerate time-to-market across global channels, boost conversion rates, and deliver unified commerce experiences to every market and customer.

With this partnership, Akeneo has launched the Akeneo App for Shopify, allowing customers to seamlessly connect Akeneo’s PIM to Shopify storefronts, eliminate manual data entry by automating syndication of rich, accurate, and localised product data, and enabling ongoing catalog governance with less operational effort. The app is available now in the Akeneo App Store and Shopify App Store.

“With the use of Akeneo and Shopify, we were able, in just under six months, to grow our eCommerce presence from 10 countries to 170 countries and extend our capacity to sell spare parts directly through this channel,” said André Dias, Head of IT at FELCO. Additionally, Akeneo and Shopify customer Giant Tiger accelerated its time-to-market with enriched data across its storefronts and unified product information for a more consistent shopping experience.

This partnership marks a broader commitment from both Akeneo and Shopify to support merchants navigating the larger shift toward composable commerce. With Akeneo’s Product Cloud and Shopify’s continued investment in flexible and partner-driven solutions, brands can future-proof their operations while delivering premium experiences at every stage of the customer journey.
