Aldi Aldi has reduced prices on hundreds of products in January, as part of its continued commitment to delivering the lowest possible prices for customers.

Shoppers at the UK’s cheapest supermarket can now enjoy even lower prices across a wide range of everyday items, from fresh and frozen food and cupboard staples to household essentials and personal care products, helping them save across their weekly shop.

Reductions include everyday staples and nutritious options, with Red Lentils reduced to 99p from £1.39, Porridge Sachets cut to 79p from 99p, and Organic Steel Cut Oats now £1.99 from £2.19. Shoppers can also save 50p on selected products, including No Beef Flank Steak, now £6.99 from £7.49, and Vegetable Pieces & Meatballs, now £1.49 from £1.99.

Further reductions across the wider range include Beef & Pork Bolognese Mince now £4.49 from £4.79, Pork & Gammon Joints now £3.49 from £3.99, Specially Selected British Cheese reduced to £2.29 from £2.59, Sweetcorn now 55p from 59p and Six Large Free Range Eggs reduced to £1.75 from £1.79.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “We know that customers are continuing to feel the pressure of the weekly shop, which is why we’re constantly reviewing prices across our range to ensure we offer our customers the lowest possible prices.

“These latest price reductions cover hundreds of everyday products, including a number of healthy options, and form part of our ongoing commitment to delivering great value without compromising on quality.”

Together, the January price cuts reflect an investment of more than £22 million in lowering prices.

The supermarket recently released new figures showing that families in more than 200 UK towns are paying up to £2,437 more per year on their grocery shopping simply because they lack access to an Aldi supermarket.

Aldi has been named the UK’s cheapest supermarket by consumer group Which? for the fifth year in a row and has also topped The Grocer’s ‘Super Grocer 33’ price comparison for the seventh consecutive time, reinforcing its position as the best value supermarket for British shoppers.
