Aldi Scotland is bringing its value message to Christmas and ensuring its customers don’t need to splurge on their décor this festive season, as it announces the return of its freshly cut Nordmann Fir trees starting from just £16.99.

Available in stores from Thursday, 23 November, the Scottish-grown trees are sourced from a commercial grower, Lovania Nurseries, who grow their trees in the heart of Aberdeenshire. After being hand-selected, they will be carefully wrapped and delivered to all of Aldi’s 104 Scottish stores, ensuring maximum freshness. With sustainability a firm focus, Lovania plant between two to four trees for every one felled.

Well known for the strength of its pine needles, the Nordmann Fir is a sensible choice for those looking for beautiful seasonal flourish this festive season.

Available while stocks last, medium Nordmann Fir (5-6ft) are priced at £16.99, and large Nordmann Fir trees (6-7ft) are priced at £24.99.

Graham Nicolson, group buying director, Aldi Scotland, said: “We’re really pleased that we’re able to bring back our popular Scottish-grown Nordmann Fir Christmas trees this year, and to be offering some of the most affordable real Christmas trees on the market.”

Aldi recommends placing your tree in a bucket of water to keep it hydrated and letting the branches settle before decorating them with ornaments or baubles. It’s also best to keep trees away from radiators or any other heat source.
