Arc’teryx Equipment, the global outdoor brand renowned for its technical high-performance apparel and equipment, will be opening a new store in Battersea Power Station.
Here are 10 things you need to know before it welcomes customers at the Grand Opening on 8 July.

1.This is Arc’teryx’s third London store; there is also the European pinnacle store in Piccadilly, and a brand store in Covent Garden. Not only is it their first venture south of the Thames, but it’s a major milestone in the Canadian brand’s expansion through Europe, too.

2. The store is located on the Upper Ground Floor of the Power Station and will showcase Arc’teryx’s technical gear and equipment for all mountain activities including mountaineering, climbing, trail running, hiking and skiing/snowboarding, as well as footwear and accessories.

3. There will be a seasonal focus on iconic Arc’teryx designs. This will include the fan-favourite Atom LT hoody and the brand’s industry-leading Alpha SV hardshell jacket, which was originally released in 1998.

4. More than just a store, this Arc’teryx outpost will become an active hub for London’s outdoor community. It will host community events and activities, including climbing gym nights, film screenings, group runs and more throughout the year.

5. On the 7 July, Arc’teryx will throw a Grand Opening Climbing Party to celebrate its arrival, with bouldering and rope climbing alongside UK athlete Mina Leslie Wujastyk, at Parthian in Wandsworth.

6. On 8 July, Arc’teryx will host an all-day celebration of its grand opening, with  complimentary drinks and bespoke cakes from local partners at the store.

7. As well as being the grand store opening date, 8 July will also see the brand kickstart the Norvan Line Running Challenge – a cleverly-named community running challenge inspired by the brand’s Norvan trail running collection (named after North Vancouver). Led by Arc’teryx community ambassadors, it will take runners from Leicester Square to Battersea Power Station, following the route of the Northern Line.

8. The overall size of the store is 250m2.

9. The official address is Unit UG-012A Upper Ground Floor, Phase 2 Battersea Power Station, London.

10. Store opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am to 9pm, Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
