AsdaAs the festive season swiftly approaches, Asda is bringing bold new flavours to one of Christmas’ most talked-about snacks: crisps. This year, the retailer is launching 14 brand-new lines, taking its total festive crisp range to a huge 16 products, including two popular, improved returners.

Available in stores from this week, the new collection, which runs across Asda’s standard and Exceptional ranges, has been developed to help shoppers snack, share and celebrate in style throughout the festive season, with everything from classic Christmas dinner-inspired flavours, to more elevated, on-trend and first to market twists, including sweet selections as well as savoury.

The expanded range includes budget-friendly, playful picks, such as Pickle Puffs, Turkey Drummers, Salt & Vinegar Presents & Trees, Hot Maple Baubles and Prawn Cocktail Party Mix, alongside more premium, hand-cooked crisps from the retailer’s Exceptional range, with flavours inspired by festive food trend

For shoppers looking to truly elevate their festive gatherings when it comes to snacks, Exceptional’s new additions include Exceptional Maple Roast Turkey Hand Cooked Crisps, Exceptional Beechwood Smoked Bacon Pigs in Blankets Hand Cooked Crisps and Exceptional Chilli & Lime Prawn Cocktail Hand Cooked Crisps.

The stars of the show for 2026 are the Exceptional Alpine Inspired Emmental Fondue Hand Cooked Crisps. First to market and tapping into the growing customer demand for elevated comfort foods and premium cheese experiences, they’re inspired by the resurgence of indulgent Alpine dishes such as fondue and raclette, bringing the rich, oozy appeal of melted Emmental cheese into a convenient snacking format.

The range also introduces a selection of premium tortilla snacks for 2026, including first to market Exceptional Sour Cream & Black Garlic Tortillas and Exceptional Italian Cheese & Truffle Tortillas, which combine rich & sauvoury Italian cheese notes with indulgent truffle for a luxurious and sophisticated flavour profile.

To sweeten things up in the crisp department, the new range will also feature two, first to market tortilla lines; Exceptional Miso Caramel Tortilla Rolls which tap into the growing ‘swalty’ trend (sweet & salty), and Exceptional Cinnamon Bun Tortilla Rolls – offering something exciting and a little different for festive entertaining.

Becky Beecham, Product Development Manager of Crisps at Asda says:

“Christmas is all about bringing people together, and great snacks are often at the centre of those celebrations. This year we’ve expanded our festive crisp range to offer even more choice, from fun family favourites through to premium flavours and globally influenced snacks that are perfect for sharing with guests. Whether shoppers are planning a festive movie night in, hosting friends and family, or stocking up for Christmas parties, there’s something for everyone in this year’s range, for both sweet and savoury lovers!”
