British precision performance sportswear brand Castore is set to take centre stage this weekend, as boxers and Castore athletes Dan Azeez and Adam Azim don the brands new Apex collection for their respective fights at Wembley Arena on Saturday evening.
The occasion marks a significant milestone for the brand, being the first time two Castore brand ambassadors compete on the same card.
Headlining the bill, Dan Azeez will take on fellow British boxer Joshua Buatsi, with the winner expected to establish the leading contender in the light-heavyweight division. After his recent back injury, Azeez is back in the ring and looking forward to the fight. Azeez spoke about his life motto “Dedication. Consistency and Discipline” in both performance and mindset being the tool to helping him overcome his recent setback.
Ahead of this weekend’s fight, Dan Azeez, Castore brand ambassador said: “I am recovering well and excited that I have got to this stage. I would never have envisioned myself headlining Wembley against someone of Josh’s calibre. I’m really proud and I can’t wait.
“If all goes well and I get this victory over Joshua, I will then keep working towards getting a world title.
“I have won every kind of domestic and European belt, so now the world title is the next stage, then I can finally say I have accomplished everything I set out to achieve as a fighter. I’ve just got to keep on grinding.”
On the undercard, Adam Azim will defend his European title against Enock Poulson, after he claimed the super-lightweight crown with victory over Franck Petitjean last month.
Adam chatted to Castore about staying motivated and his goal for 2024: “I want to be considered one of the greatest. That’s my motivation. Winning world titles then defending them, everything else that comes with success is a nice bonus.
“A knockout streak is my goal, it’s all about hard work, dedication, and motivation. I pray daily which helps to keep me focused and positive moving forwards.
“Success is everything, I can’t wait to get in the ring this weekend and take that next step to achieve my goals.”
Castore marked its first foray into boxing back in February 2023 and has since secured its position as one of the biggest up and coming brands in the ring, reaching new heights with Saturday’s highly anticipated fights.
Tom Beahon, co-founder at Castore, said: “We cannot wait to see two of our brand ambassadors’ step into the ring on Saturday night. To see two elite sportspeople wearing our brand during a big occasion at Wembley Arena is a huge honour.
“It’s testament to how hard we’ve worked to build this platform and gain a reputation in boxing. However, we’re not going to stop here, we have so many more exciting opportunities coming up and we can’t wait to see how they unfold.
“Saturday is set to be a huge night for both Dan and Adam, so we’re looking forward to tuning in and we wish them all the best!”
