After Chipotle ranked No. 7 among Britain’s most mispronounced words, the brand is helping Londoners get it right with a limited-edition T-shirt spelling it out: “Chih-Poat-Lay.”
To celebrate the opening of Chipotle’s new Holborn restaurant on 17 September, the first 50 guests will receive one of the phonetic “Chih-Poat-Lay” T-shirts – turning one of Britain’s pronunciation struggles into something Londoners can wear.
And for those who get to the front of the queue, there’s food up for grabs too: the first 50 guests will receive a free entrée.
Located just steps from Holborn Underground Station, the new restaurant will serve Chipotle’s freshly prepared, customisable burritos, bowls, salads and tacos and marks the brand’s 22nd UK restaurant.
