Certas Energy, the UK’s largest independent fuel distributor, is today announcing its EV offer – Evolo Rapid Charge.
With the first ‘owned and operated’ Evolo charging hub currently under construction at the Gulf service station in the Welsh town of Ebbw Vale, the aim is for Evolo to provide electric car drivers with a fast, reliable, price-competitive charging service. Located close to the busy A4046 and only two miles from the Brecon Beacons national park – Ebbw Vale is a busy Gulf site welcoming hundreds of drivers per week.
With electric cars accounting for 23.4% of new registrations in 2025 (source: Zapmap.com), the UK government continues to proactively encourage a shift to EV with 2026 sales figures looking set to grow and with it an increased need for fast, easy ‘on-the-go’ charging hubs.
The sleek blue and black Evolo chargers feature HD touch-screens with animated graphics providing simple and straightforward user information plus a choice of easy payment options including by card or via the Evolo App.
