Charlie Bigham’s has launched its first ever range of sides, including its first ever chips.
Each of the six-strong range, which hit stores yesterday, will appear in the brand’s familiar compostable wooden trays and includes:
Charlie Bigham’s Chunky Chips – Crispy potato chips with a sprinkling of aromatic rosemary salt.
Charlie Bigham’s Cauliflower Cheese – Cauliflower florets in a rich cheese sauce, topped with mature Cheddar cheese & a ciabatta crumb.
Charlie Bigham’s Potato Dauphinoise – Thinly sliced potatoes in a rich creamy sauce, with a hint of garlic, topped with Cheddar cheese & fresh parsley.
Charlie Bigham’s Green Vegetable Medley – Spring greens, savoy cabbage, broccoli & peas with garlic, parsley & mint butter.
Charlie Bigham’s Tarka Dhal – Lentils & spinach in a lightly spiced coconut sauce, topped with roasted sweet potato.
Charlie Bigham’s Bombay Potatoes – Diced potatoes in a spicy tomato and onion sauce.
Company founder Charlie Bigham, says: “Over the years quite a few of our customers have asked us if we could create a few vegetable accompaniments to go alongside our main dishes. In response, we have created this new range which we’re excited to announce is now at a supermarket near you.
“We’ve got a great choice available with our version of a few classics including delicious potato dauphinoise and cauliflower cheese, as well as rosemary salted chunky chips. We also have some new Indian inspired dishes which are the perfect accompaniment to our popular curries.
“Our buyers are looking for restaurant quality food without leaving the home, so these new sides mean home cooks can enjoy a well-deserved night off without having to sacrifice on taste or quality.”
The new sides will accompany the current main range which currently consists of more than 50 dishes inspired by UK classics and world flavours and created with home-style cooking at the heart. And, as with all Charlie Bigham dishes, they are made with the attention to detail and highest quality ingredients that consumers use when cooking their own dishes from scratch.
Like with all other dishes in the Charlie Bigham’s range, across mains and desserts, the new range is prepared so all people have to do is heat it up in the oven – the easiest restaurant quality meal they’ll ever make at home.
