DISARONNO INTERNATIONAL UK expands grocery presence with new Sainsbury’s listings

DISARONNO INTERNATIONAL UK DISARONNO INTERNATIONAL UK is expanding its premium spirits portfolio in the grocery channel, announcing new Sainsbury’s listings for Isolabella Limoncello and Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky.

Isolabella Limoncello will be available in 484 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, marking the brand’s first listing with a major multiple grocer, while Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky will launch in 100 stores.

The new listings represent an opportunity for both brands to build on strong existing credentials across the on- and off-trade, while tapping into continued consumer demand for premium spirits.

Isolabella Limoncello, the UK’s No.1 Limoncello in the on-trade, generates £5.6m in MAT sales and is driving the majority of category growth. The Limoncello category is currently experiencing significant momentum in the on-trade, growing +56% in value and +47% in volume. Isolabella is also seeing strong retail performance, growing by more than 100% and already established as the No.1 Limoncello YTD at a leading online retailer.

With more than one in 10 consumers having already tried Isolabella, the brand enters Sainsbury’s with established consumer awareness and demand. The first multiple grocery listing provides an opportunity to translate the brand’s strong on-trade performance into the retail environment and drive further growth for the category. Isolabella Limoncello will retail at an RRP of £20.50 for 70cl.

The listing also comes as Limoncello continues to benefit from the popularity of premium serves, with the Spritz accounting for almost 19.4% of total cocktail share in the on-trade.

Alongside Isolabella, Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky will launch in 100 Sainsbury’s stores at an RRP of £47 for 70cl, bringing the UK’s No.1 premium English malt in the off-trade to more shoppers and strengthening the brand’s presence within the premium English whisky segment.

Cotswolds is outperforming the wider malt category in multiple grocery, delivering +2.7% MAT growth against a category decline of -0.9%. The listing marks a further step in the brand’s grocery expansion, creating an opportunity to build awareness of premium English whisky and introduce more shoppers to a growing brand.

Already available through Waitrose and Tesco, as well as Amazon and Ocado, Cotswolds has established a presence across leading grocery and online retailers. The addition of Sainsbury’s will extend that reach, making its Signature Single Malt Whisky more accessible to existing whisky drinkers and those exploring English malt for the first time.

Scott Bennett, off-trade sales director at DISARONNO INTERNATIONAL UK, said: “Securing these new Sainsbury’s listings is an exciting milestone for both Isolabella and Cotswolds Whisky. Isolabella has built a strong position in the on-trade and is now seeing significant momentum in retail, making its first multiple grocery listing a natural next step as we look to bring the brand to even more consumers. Alongside the continued growth of Cotswolds Whisky, these listings provide a fantastic opportunity to build on the brands’ existing success and drive further growth across the premium spirits category, while bringing both products to shoppers ahead of the key festive gifting season.”

Both products will be available in Sainsbury’s stores from September 2026.
