Fourth Wave Wine Australia expands UK presence with new retail listings

Fourth Wave Wine AustraliaOne of Australia’s fastest-growing and most sustainable wine brands, Tread Softly from Fourth Wave Wine, is proud to announce a major expansion in the UK. Following strong consumer demand, the range is now widely available in Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, with a Tesco launch confirmed for November. The brand’s growing retail footprint marks an exciting new chapter for Tread Softly in the UK market.

This expansion sees Tread Softly Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio join the brand’s already popular Tread Softly Rosé, bringing a broader selection of naturally lighter, flavour-forward wines to UK shelves. With a

commitment to sustainability at its core, Tread Softly is the wine of choice for conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise on quality, taste, or environmental impact.

Since launching in Australia in 2019, Tread Softly has made a significant environmental contribution by planting a native tree for every six bottles sold. In November 2024, the brand reached a major milestone of 2 million trees planted, and is now on track to hit 3 million trees in the coming months through its long-standing partnership with Carbon Neutral Australia.

Certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, Tread Softly wines are crafted using low-impact vineyard and water management practices, bottled in lightweight glass, and offer a naturally lower alcohol profile and a growing Everything Except range of alcohol-free wines.

Indeya Passfield, global marketing manager – Tread Softly & Lifestyle Brands, comments:“We’re incredibly proud to see the continued growth of Tread Softly in the UK – a market that truly understands and values the connection between conscious choices and everyday enjoyment. This expansion into Tesco, alongside our growing presence in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, reflects the growing appetite for sustainable, lighter wine options that don’t compromise on taste or quality. Tread Softly is more than just a wine brand – it’s a movement toward conscious consumption, and we’re thrilled to see that message resonate so strongly with UK consumers.”

As part of its ongoing sustainability mission, Tread Softly has renewed its partnership with Rewilding Britain, supporting UK-based rewilding initiatives and nature restoration projects that benefit biodiversity, people, and climate.
