Domino’s focuses on nutrition strategy in new menu items

Domino’s Pizza Group has launched new menu items that deliver on its nutrition strategy, offering customers more balanced choices without compromising on great taste. New menu items include Loaded Veg, Loaded Veg with Chicken, and a personal-sized Thin & Crispy base.

The new Loaded Veg and Loaded Veg with Chicken each provide two of the recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, with only 128 and 160 calories respectively. The Thin & Crispy base is now offered in a convenient personal size for pizza lovers who want a thinner, crispier crust, with the Cheeky Little Pizza Thin & Crispy range all below 400 calories. These additions build on Domino’s growing range of lower-calorie options, following last year’s successful launch of new lunch items, including wraps under 450 calories and Cheeky Little Pizzas under 600 calories.

These new menu items align with the commitments set out in Domino’s Nutrition Strategy, introduced last year, which aims to provide innovative, balanced options that deliver the great taste of Domino’s. The strategy focuses on offering customers balanced choices, providing clear and transparent nutritional information, and reformulating the menu alongside a third-party nutritionist to reduce saturated fat, salt, and sugar in its products.

Sarah Barron, chief marketing officer at Domino’s, said: “Our sustainability strategy is at the heart of our ambition to deliver a better future through food people love. We are committed to being a responsible business in the food industry by providing more choice and balanced options. These latest additions are part of our mission to innovate and offer something for everyone at Domino’s, without missing out on the same great taste.”
