Fairfields Farm surpasses £10,000 fundraising target for Air Ambulances UK

One year on from launching its partnership, award-winning crisp producer Fairfields Farm is proud to announce it has raised £12,417.54 for national life-saving charity Air Ambulances UK. Since the cheque was presented, the team has also raised an additional £249.66 at local shows, bringing the partnership’s total fundraising to £12,667.20.

The fundraising milestone follows the success of a limited-edition run of its best-selling Lightly Sea Salted handcooked crisps, created in collaboration with the charity. The initiative set out with a minimum fundraising target of £10,000, with a percentage of profits from each pack sold donated directly to Air Ambulances UK, and Fairfields Farm is proud to have gone on to surpass this target by 26%.

The special edition packs were available wherever Fairfields Farm crisps are sold, including via the Fairfields Farm website, through multiple national wholesalers and independent retailers. Each pack featured a bespoke illustration of an air ambulance helicopter flying above Fairfields Farm in Wormingford, Essex, alongside key information about Air Ambulances UK and the vital work it carries out across the country. The partnership was struck as a recognition of the role of Air Ambulances in hard-to-reach areas, with agricultural accidents in particular often taking place out of the reach of traditional ambulances.

Air Ambulances UK is the national charity supporting all 21 air ambulance charities across the UK, helping to ensure crews can continue to deliver critical pre-hospital emergency care to patients in need. The funds raised through this partnership will be distributed nationally, including support for Fairfields Farm’s local service, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT), which has been a longstanding priority within the company’s charitable work.

Robert Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm, comments: “This has been a fantastic way to give back, and we are incredibly proud to have worked alongside Air Ambulances UK and exceeded our fundraising target. Supporting such vital life-saving services means a great deal to everyone at Fairfields Farm, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that every pack sold has helped support emergency crews in delivering critical care to patients when they need it most. We’d like to thank all our customers and retail partners who have helped make this initiative such a success.”

Rachel Breen, national corporate fundraising manager at Air Ambulances UK, added: “Working with Fairfields Farm over the past year has been a fantastic example of how corporate partnerships can make a genuine difference. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Fairfields Farm, as well as their customers and retail partners, for helping to raise more than £12,000 in support of the UK’s air ambulance charities.

Every donation helps ensure air ambulance crews can continue delivering advanced pre-hospital emergency care to people facing the most serious incidents. We’re proud to have partnered with a business that shares our commitment to supporting these vital services, and we’re delighted the partnership has exceeded its original fundraising target.”

Donations raised for Air Ambulances UK will help to sustain the life-saving work of air ambulance teams, enabling rapid response and advanced medical care at the scene of the most serious incidents across the UK.
