It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas! PizzaExpress, the nation’s most iconic pizzeria brand, is spreading festive cheer with the launch of its Christmas menu. The menu includes a brand-new Truffle Garlic Butter, the first-ever change to its iconic Garlic Butter recipe, available in restaurants across the UK from Tuesday 11th November.
Guaranteed to become an extra-moreish savoury hit this Christmas, Dough Ball fans can enjoy a truffle-inspired upgrade to their Dough Balls for just 50p. For a limited time only, the cult-status Garlic Butter has been elevated with truffle oil, crushed garlic and black pepper, infusing each bite with a rich, earthy aroma and indulgent flavour.
Fans can also rejoice in the joyful return of Dough Balls in Blankets – the brand’s iconic Dough Balls, wrapped in crisp pancetta, with rosemary, a sprinkle of Gran Milano cheese and a honey & mustard dip – with the portion now 50% bigger, because when it comes to these pancetta-wrapped favourites, you just can’t get enough!
And with Christmas being prime cheese-board season, PizzaExpress is elevating this festive crowd pleaser with brand-new Three Cheese & Truffle Dough Balls – fluffy Dough Balls with a luxurious cheese sauce, creamy mozzarella, Cheddar and Gran Milano cheese, with a touch of garlic and truffle oil. Oozy, gooey and gloriously cheesy!
But no Christmas would be complete without pizza, of course. The holidays are coming with the PizzaExpress’ new Cola-Glazed Ham Hock Romana pizza – with red onion, mozzarella, goat’s cheese and garlic oil, all on a creamy béchamel base, finished with festive-spiced apricot chutney, crispy pancetta, Gran Milano cheese and parsley.
And those with a sweet tooth can tuck into the Snowball Dough Ball Christmas Tree – a double helping of the restaurant’s beloved Snowball Dough Balls, topped with white chocolate sauce, dusted with cinnamon, icing sugar and served with extra sauce, a salted caramel dip and white chocolate.
The new menu also marks an announcement of the return of the season’s sweetest tradition – Snowball Dough Ball Day, where fans can enjoy Snowball Dough Balls for just £1 on Sunday 16th November, with all proceeds donated to the brands long standing children’s mental health charity, Place2Be.
But the deliciousness doesn’t stop there, as PizzaExpress has a number of brand-new additions for this festive season, including:
- Prawn Thermidor Romana– Rich, creamy tomato and lobster flavoured bisque-style sauce with juicy prawns, mozzarella, garlic oil and spinach, finished with Roquito® Pearl baubles, garlic breadcrumbs, Gran Milano cheese and a squeeze of lemon.
- Mushroom & Truffle Romana– A classic with the volume turned up. Chestnut mushrooms on a decadent base of mushroom & truffle puree, with mozzarella, garlic and rosemary, finished with Gran Milano cheese, fresh parsley and plenty of truffle oil.
- Cracking Christmas Brownie– A showstopper of a dessert, made with double Belgian chocolate and served warm, topped with vanilla gelato, a cracking chocolate shell and white chocolate treats.
- Baileys Affogato– A sophisticated end to your meal. Creamy vanilla gelato, with Baileys Irish Cream Liquor and a dark, rich shot of espresso.
- Loaded Snowball Dough Balls– a festive favourite, topped with white chocolate sauce, dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar, with a white chocolate dip.
And for drinks, PizzaExpress has a series of new festive-themed cocktails, including its Pomegranate Mimosa, Salted Caramel Elfspresso Martini, Baileys Latte and White Chocolate – a festive blend of Amaretto, Sapling vodka and Licor 43 with vanilla, nutmeg and topped with a white chocolate treat – with diners able to enjoy two cocktails for just £12.
