Future Platforms appoints Livia Bernardini as CEO to drive growth in digital transformation market

Future Platforms, the London technology-driven transformation partner, has appointed Livia Bernardini as chief executive officer to lead this exciting new chapter. The company is also proud to announce its transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), marking a significant milestone in its 20-year history.

With a rich heritage in delivering next-gen consumer and B2B digital platforms, Future Platforms is accelerating its evolution under Livia’s leadership, reinforcing its position as an outcome-driven technology partner. This strategic move to employee ownership further demonstrates the company’s commitment to its talented team, long-term stability, and collective ambition.

The former international managing director of global growth consultancy ZAG BBH, whose previous clients include McKinsey & Co., Zoopla, BT Group (BT and EE), Yamaha Music Corporation and Deloitte, Bernardini has a proven track record as a strategic growth leader, increasing ZAG BBH’s revenue by 250% over the six years during her tenure.

In her new role as CEO of Future Platforms, she has ambitious plans which will see her driving transformative change, building on the company’s practical implementation approach, and creating significant impact and measurable results across sectors including transport, retail, financial services, and sport and leisure.

“In a market where 70% of digital transformations fail, and organisations realise less than 33% of the expected impact from digital investments, Future Platforms delivers pragmatic solutions that consistently achieve measurable business outcomes for our clients,” shared Livia Bernardini, CEO of Future Platforms.

She continued: “Our industry-leading approach, pairing strategic insight with precise technical execution at every stage, establishes clear KPIs that drive substantial revenue growth across multiple sectors. These metrics represent fundamental business results that emerge when strategy and implementation work in deliberate harmony. We foster organisational alignment from leadership to implementation teams, ensuring everyone shares the same vision and path to success. For organisations seeking digital transformation with demonstrable ROI, Future Platforms stands as the definitive partner mobilising strategic ambition into carefully orchestrated reality, creating a unified journey where investment directly translates to achievement.

Commenting on today’s news, Phil Andrews, chairman of the newly formed EOT, articulated: “Livia brings the perfect blend of vision and execution to Future Platforms at a pivotal moment for us. Her leadership will be instrumental as we expand our technical capabilities and tackle more complex client challenges. The move to an Employee Ownership Trust simultaneously puts our talented team in control of our destiny. This dual transformation—new leadership and collective ownership—positions us to build on our 20-year heritage while breaking new ground in digital transformation.”

Transformation expertise that delivers results

Future Platforms has a proven track record of implementing digital strategies that create measurable, long-term business value for their global client base:

  • Transformed Domino’s Pizza’s digital presence, increasing digital sales by 441% and reducing operational costs by £6.5M annually—demonstrably improving their bottom line.
  • Pioneered cutting-edge safety innovation for First Bus during the pandemic, rapidly deploying live bus seat and wheelchair tracking in just four weeks through ingenious use of existing cameras and facial recognition technology—keeping communities moving safely when it mattered most.
  • Reimagined the fitness experience through Virgin Active’s global app, achieving a remarkable 76% regular engagement across 495,000+ members worldwide, with rewards users demonstrating 70% higher usage as compared to non-members —fundamentally changing how members interact with the brand.

Richard Davies, founder, added: “I’m proud of what we’ve built at Future Platforms over the past 20 years and excited to see the company enter this new phase. Livia brings exceptional strategic vision and implementation expertise that will drive our next stage of growth. Combining her leadership with our transition to an Employee Ownership Trust ensures we’re not just evolving our capabilities but also empowering our talented team to share in the success they create. This dual transformation positions us perfectly to build on our heritage while tackling increasingly complex digital challenges for our clients.”
