GenM, the Menopause Partner for Brands and Home of the MTick®, announces its expansion into the Australian market through a landmark partnership with TerryWhite Chemmart, Australia’s largest pharmacy network. This collaboration marks GenM’s largest international expansion to date, and represents the first time the MTick® menopause-friendly shopping symbol and certification will be rolled out at national scale outside of the UK.
Launching nationwide from the 12th February 2026, the MTick® will be introduced across more than 620 TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacies. The rollout includes a flagship MTick-certified in-store menopause-friendly bay, in-store educational signage, integrated online menopause hubs, product discovery tools, and educational content, to embed menopause support into TerryWhite Chemmart’s physical and digital retail environments and provide support for women at every touchpoint.
This expansion into Australia demonstrates the scalability of GenM’s retail model and reinforces menopause as a significant, underdeveloped consumer retail category globally. Menopause affects more than 1 billion women worldwide and over 4 million in Australia, yet GenM research conducted in the UK shows that 87% of women feel overlooked and underserved by brands and retailers, while 66% struggle to find menopause-friendly products in-store and online. The MTick® addresses this gap by creating a clear, trusted and easy-to-navigate category that improves visibility, consumer confidence and education with retail spaces.
Heather Jackson, CEO and co-founder of GenM, comments: “Entering the Australian market is a major milestone for GenM and powerful validation of the MTick® as a globally scalable and trusted retail category. Australia’s national pharmacy network, trusted community healthcare model, and underserved menopausal population make it a strategically significant market for our international growth.
“Partnering with TerryWhite Chemmart allows us to roll out menopause-friendly retail at scale for the first time outside of the UK, demonstrating how the MTick® can deliver value for consumers, brands and retailers, and shining a light on how menopause support can improve the wellbeing of communities globally. Together, we’re creating an inclusive and accessible category of retail that has the power to transform the lived experience of menopause for over 4 million Australian women.”
By exclusively adopting the MTick®, TerryWhite Chemmart becomes the first Australian retailer to formally introduce menopause-friendly certification nationwide, reinforcing its position as a leader in community health innovation.
In-store activations will feature dedicated menopause bays showcasing MTick-certified products designed to support one or more of the 48 recognised signs of menopause, with clear signposting and guidance to help customers search, source and shop with confidence. TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacists will also receive specialised women’s health training to strengthen the role of community pharmacy as a primary healthcare provider for menopausal women.
Krystel Tresillian, pharmacist and general manager of Professional Practice at TerryWhite Chemmart, comments: “Partnering with GenM enables us to respond to a clear and growing customer need. Rolling out the MTick® across our national network of community pharmacies strengthens our commitment to inclusive healthcare and reinforces our role as a trusted health partner for women at every stage of life.”
GenM currently partners with more than 140 global and challenger brands and retailers, to build a new retail standard for menopause-friendly products with the MTick®. The Australian launch represents a significant milestone in GenM’s international growth strategy and lays the foundation for further global expansion.
Heather Jackson adds: “This partnership is more than entering a new market: it’s setting a new global standard for menopause-friendly retail. By scaling the MTick® through leading retailers like TerryWhite Chemmart, we are creating a category that delivers commercial value while improving the lived experience of menopause for millions of women worldwide.”
