Gousto offers chance to win a year of free Gousto boxes to anyone who lives on, or stumbles across a UK street with a burger or hot dog name

P Recipe box delivery service Gousto is celebrating the launch of its newest range by offering Brits the opportunity to win a whole year of delicious dinners.

The Battle of The Buns is a collection of hot dogs and burgers bursting with unique flavours, from spicy coconut to smokin’ teriyaki.

UK residents who submit a selfie with a hot dog or burger inspired street name sign will be in with a chance to win a year’s supply of free Gousto recipe boxes worth over £1,500.

To enter, all you need to do is email the photo to: battleofthebuns@gousto.co.uk between 10th October and 14th November 2023 — the first 50 qualifying entries will win a free box, containing three recipes for two people, worth £29.99. Find out more here, and view the full terms and conditions here).

The Gousto chefs will choose their favourite photograph and the lucky winner will bag the grand prize of a whole year of Gousto (up to 52 boxes (one free box per week meaning up to 52 boxes during the year). Each box contains three recipes for two people. A standard delivery fee of £3.99 applies per order.

Not sure what constitutes a burger or hot dog name? It could be anything from lettuce, cheese, bacon, cucumber, bun, pickle, or mustard. Think you’ve got one that’s outside the box? Enter and try your luck — it could be one of the more unusual ingredients found in Gousto’s new Battle of the Buns range.

Entries including words within street names will count too, so if you live on or near Chillingham Road in Durham (chilli – get it?), you can still enter!

There’s an a-bun-dance of eligible street names in the UK, including…

  • Pickle Mews, London
  • Bacon Street, Leeds
  • Cucumber Lane, Norfolk
  • Bun Alley, Pillsbury

Psst, don’t live on a street inspired by a burger or hot dog ingredient, but pass by one on your daily dog walk, on a visit to friends, or any other scenario, you can still enter with a snap of a nearby street, even if you don’t technically live there.

Hannah Brown, Gousto Chef, says: “We’re so excited to celebrate this new range by giving people all over the UK a chance to win such a delicious prize. Our expert chefs will be choosing their favourite snaps, but only one will win the ultimate prize – free Gousto boxes for a year. We want to see creativity – think poses, props and personality! The Battle of the Buns range is all about introducing you to the juiciest, smokiest hot dogs and burgers from around the world. Our new and exciting flavours will battle it out to be the next big thing – only the nation’s taste buds can be the judge in this ultimate flavour showdown.”

About the Battle of the Buns range

There are 8 recipes in the new ‘Battle of the Buns’ range, with a new hot dog and a burger recipe battling it out weekly for four consecutive weeks. From a teriyaki hot dog with charred pineapple salsa, to a Persian-style lamb burger with herby feta, there’s something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.

The collection, which features a vegetarian option for each flavour combination, is available to order between 10th October and 14th November on theGousto menu, with delivery from 28th October.
