Greggs opens ‘Bitesize Greggs’ in London Bridge Station

Greggs, a leading UK food-on-the-go retailer, is delighted to announce the opening of its fourth ‘Bitesize Greggs’ shop, located in London Bridge Station. The recently launched smaller shop format enables the Company to offer a range of iconic products to more customers in high-footfall, prime locations which are constrained by space.

Open seven days a week, the London Bridge Station shop has created 16 new jobs for the local area. The new opening marks Greggs third shop at London Bridge Station, reflecting the continued demand from customers in one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs. With around 55 million* passengers passing through every year, London Bridge Station is an ideal location for Greggs to bring its best-selling favourites to more commuters on the go and has opened just in time for the busy summer holiday travel season.

Operating with a smaller footprint, Bitesize Greggs enables the Company to access prime, high-footfall locations that are constrained by space, while still offering a tailored range of best-selling customer favourites for the same great quality and great prices, from Sausage Rolls and Steak Bakes to Sweet Treats and Fairtrade hot drinks. The Bitesize Greggs at London Bridge will also feature some seating, giving customers the option to enjoy their food at the shop while waiting before setting off on their journey.

The London Bridge Station shop follows the successful opening of Bitesize Greggs locations last year at Sevenoaks Railway Station, Dartford Station and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. The more agile shop format is being trialled alongside Greggs traditional, larger shops, supporting the Company’s broader shop growth plans and helping Greggs reach more customers in busy locations where convenience is key.

Tony Rowson, property director at Greggs commented: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of our fourth ‘Bitesize Greggs’ shop at London Bridge Station, one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.

“This opening marks our third Greggs shop at the station, demonstrating the continued demand for Greggs from commuters and travellers on the go. Our Bitesize format allows us to reach more customers from compact units in high-footfall locations, while still offering a selection of our best-selling products.”

*According to figures from the Office of Rail and Road, around 55 million passengers pass through London Bridge station every year (December 2025)
