Harlequin, Hertfordshire’s leading retail and leisure destination, closes the year by announcing that Pan Asian restaurant Chop Wok Express will open at the centre in January. The arrival of Chop Wok Express forms part of Harlequin’s wider strategy to invest in experience and further strengthens its food and beverage offer through 2026.
Chop Wok Express will bring their innovative automatic woks to their new location as they continue to grow the brand into a thriving multi-location chain – with the new Harlequin restaurant forming a key pillar of this growth strategy. Chop Wok Express joins an already strong lineup of market-leading F&B operators occupying a total of 70,000 sq ft at the centre including Joe & the Juice, Popeyes and Chaiiwala, with further brands set to join the line-up next year.
Harlequin’s Chop Wok Express will offer the brand’s core menu – including ‘build your own’ wok, alongside Bao Buns and Korean Chicken Tenders. The opening reflects Harlequin’s focus on curating differentiated, high-quality operators that deliver on choice and enhance the guest experience.
Rob Jewell, managing director, asset management at Pradera Lateral commented “Chop Wok Express perfectly complements the range of brands and leisure operators at Harlequin – bringing a new, and highly desirable, type of cuisine to our curated offering. Our town centre location makes Harlequin the perfect place to grab a bite to eat in the evening, and alongside our range of entertainment brands including Cineworld and Puttshack, brands like Chop Wok Express elevate our evening appeal even further.”
Shiva Konda, Aarvion Foods Ltd, commented “We believe Harlequin is the perfect location for our newest opening, as we look to build on our success to date and build Chop Wok Express into a thriving restaurant chain offering great quality food to diners across the UK and beyond.”
